This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your KAMRUI AK1PLUS Mini PC. Please read this manual carefully before using the device to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

2. Product Overview

The KAMRUI AK1PLUS Mini PC is a compact and powerful desktop computer designed for various applications, from home office tasks to 4K entertainment. It features an Intel Alder Lake N97 processor, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB M.2 SSD.

3. Setup

3.1 Unboxing and Initial Connection

Upon receiving your KAMRUI AK1PLUS Mini PC, carefully unbox all components. The package typically includes the Mini PC, a power adapter, an HDMI cable, and a VESA mount with screws.

Connect your monitor(s), keyboard, mouse, and power adapter to the Mini PC. Ensure all connections are secure.

3.2 VESA Mount Installation

The Mini PC can be mounted on the back of a compatible monitor using the included VESA mount to save desk space.

  1. Prepare tools and materials: Ensure you have a mounting bracket suitable for your mini PC and display. Get a screwdriver or other necessary tools ready.
  2. Install the mounting bracket on the back of the display: According to the instructions of the mounting bracket, attach the bracket to the back of the display. This usually involves using a screwdriver to fix the bracket onto the VESA mounting holes of the display (if the display supports VESA mounting).
  3. Mount the mini PC on the bracket: You need to align the back of the mini PC with the corresponding part of the bracket and then use screws or other fastening devices to fix it onto the bracket.

3.3 Operating System Installation (if required)

Your Mini PC comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. If you need to reinstall the operating system or install a different one, follow these steps:

  1. Download the ISO image file of the required operating system and place it in the root directory of a USB flash drive.
  2. Insert the USB flash drive, press the power-on button, and simultaneously press the F7 key to enter the boot interface. Then select the USB flash drive device. In the "Select Image File" option, select the downloaded ISO image file of the operating system.
  3. After the computer boots from the USB flash drive, it will enter the installation interface of the operating system. You need to wait for the installation to complete.
  4. When a green interface is displayed, it means the installation is completed.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

To power on the Mini PC, press the power button located on the front panel. To shut down, use the standard Windows shutdown procedure.

4.2 Auto Power On Setting

You can configure the Mini PC to automatically power on at a scheduled time via the BIOS settings.

  1. Power on and press the Del key to enter the BIOS settings. Use the arrow keys ", , , " to adjust the cursor.
  2. Right arrow key to adjust the cursor to "Boot". Press Enter to enter "Wake system from S5" and set the boot time.
  3. After the modification is completed, select the "Save Exit and Restart" button to pop up the save exit window, and select "Yes" to save the exit.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Storage and Memory Upgrade

The KAMRUI AK1PLUS Mini PC allows for easy upgrades of its storage (SSD/HDD) and RAM.

  1. Carefully remove the foot pads on the bottom of the Mini PC. After revealing the hidden screws, unscrew them with a screwdriver and keep them safe.
  2. Take off the bottom plate and set it aside. Then unscrew the screws that fix the heat sink.
  3. If the SSD is fixed by screws, unscrew them. If it's fixed by clips, open the clips and then pull out the original SSD. Meanwhile, open the clips at both ends of the memory slot and pull out the original memory vertically.
  4. Insert the new SSD into the M.2 slot following the original direction and fix it properly. Align the new DDR memory with the slot, insert it vertically and fasten the clips tightly.
  5. Take the heat sink back, align it to the position, screw on the previously removed screws and plug in the fan power cord, etc. Take the bottom plate back, align it with the clips and screw holes, first close the clips and then screw on the bottom plate screws.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your KAMRUI AK1PLUS Mini PC, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the Mini PC and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet or power adapter if available.
  • No Display: Check HDMI/DP cable connections to the monitor and Mini PC. Ensure the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source.
  • Slow Performance: Close unnecessary applications. Check for background updates. Ensure sufficient free storage space. Consider upgrading RAM or SSD if performance issues persist.
  • Network Connectivity Issues: For Wi-Fi, ensure the Wi-Fi adapter is enabled and connected to the correct network. For Ethernet, check the cable connection and router status.
  • Peripheral Not Detected: Ensure USB devices are properly inserted. Try a different USB port. Update or reinstall device drivers if necessary.
  • System Freezes/Crashes: Perform a system restart. Check for operating system updates. Run a diagnostic tool to check hardware health.
