Setup

Follow these steps to set up your water distiller for first-time use:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Clean: Before first use, clean the interior of the distiller and the collection pot with warm water and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Assemble: Place the distiller unit on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Install Carbon Filter: Open the lid of the distiller. Insert one carbon filter pack into the designated slot in the spout of the distiller.
  5. Position Collection Pot: Place the water collection pot directly under the distiller's spout.

Operating Instructions

Operating your CO-Z water distiller is straightforward:

  1. Fill Water: Open the distiller lid and fill the stainless steel boiling chamber with tap water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
  2. Close Lid: Securely close the distiller lid.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Start Distillation: Press the power button on the control panel to begin the distillation process. The distiller will automatically heat the water to boiling, and steam will rise, condense, and drip into the collection pot.
  5. Timer & Reservation Function: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set a precise operating time (0-99 hours) or to schedule a reservation for distillation to start at a later time. This feature helps optimize water production and save on energy costs by running during off-peak hours. Press 'SET' to confirm your selection.
  6. Automatic Shut-off: The distiller will automatically turn off once the water in the boiling chamber has evaporated or if the internal temperature reaches approximately 330°F (165°C).
  7. Collect Distilled Water: Once the cycle is complete and the unit has cooled, carefully remove the collection pot to access your purified water.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the performance and longevity of your distiller. Mineral deposits will accumulate in the boiling chamber over time.

  1. Daily Cleaning: After each use, unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely. Discard any remaining water in the boiling chamber. Rinse the boiling chamber and collection pot with clean water.
  2. Deep Cleaning (Mineral Deposits): When mineral deposits become visible, use the included citric acid cleaning powder.
    • Fill the boiling chamber with approximately 1 liter of water.
    • Add 1-2 tablespoons of citric acid cleaning powder.
    • Close the lid and run a short distillation cycle (e.g., 30 minutes) or let it soak for several hours.
    • After soaking, scrub the interior with a non-abrasive brush or cloth to remove loosened deposits.
    • Rinse the boiling chamber thoroughly multiple times to ensure all cleaning solution is removed.
  3. Carbon Filter Replacement: Replace the carbon filter pack every 2-3 months, or as needed, to ensure optimal water quality.
