Important Safety Information

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the fireplace is connected to a properly grounded 120V AC outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips. Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Fire Hazard: Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) from the front, sides, and rear of the heater.

Operating Instructions

The SF413-23 Electric Fireplace can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

Control Panel Functions

  • Power Button (I/O): Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
  • Flame Button (F): Press to cycle through different flame brightness levels (e.g., High, Medium, Low, Off).
  • Heater Button (H): Press to activate the heater. Press again to cycle between Low Heat (700W) and High Heat (1400W). The heater indicator light will illuminate.
  • Temperature Button (T): Press to adjust the thermostat setting. The temperature range is typically from 62°F to 82°F (17°C to 27°C). The unit will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.
  • Timer Button (Timer): Press to set the operating time. Available settings usually range from 0.5 hours to 6 hours. The unit will automatically shut off after the set time.

Remote Control

The remote control duplicates the functions of the control panel. Ensure the remote has working batteries (typically 2x AAA, not included) and is pointed towards the front of the fireplace for optimal operation.
