6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the performance and longevity of your sterilizer and dryer.
- Unplug: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Empty Water Tray: Discard any remaining water from the water tray.
- Clean Baskets and Lid: Wash the upper basket, lower basket, and lid with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry. These parts are also dishwasher safe (top rack only).
- Clean Base Unit: Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
- Descaling: Mineral deposits (limescale) may build up on the heating plate over time, especially if tap water is used. To descale, mix 50ml of white vinegar with 100ml of water and pour it onto the heating plate. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then scrub gently with a brush or sponge. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and wipe dry. Perform descaling every 2-4 weeks, depending on water hardness.
- HEPA Filter: The appliance features an advanced HEPA filter for superior bacterial protection during drying. Check and replace the HEPA filter periodically as per manufacturer recommendations (replacement filters sold separately).
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Momcozy Sterilizer and Dryer, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions:
