5. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your dry aging fridge.
5.1 Cleaning the Interior
- Disconnect Power: Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Remove Components: Take out all removable shelves, hooks, and trays. Wash them with mild soap and warm water, then dry thoroughly.
- Wipe Interior: Use a soft cloth dampened with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner to wipe down the interior surfaces. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that could damage the stainless steel.
- Dry: Ensure all surfaces are completely dry before reassembling components and restoring power.
5.2 Water Tank and Absorbent Pad Maintenance
- Empty and Clean Tank: Regularly empty and clean the water tank to prevent mold or bacterial growth. Wash with mild soap and water.
- Use Distilled Water: Always refill the water tank with distilled water. Tap water can lead to mineral deposits and affect humidity control.
- Inspect Absorbent Pad: Periodically check the absorbent pad for cleanliness and integrity. Replace if it shows signs of wear or excessive buildup.
5.3 Door Gasket
- Clean the door gasket regularly with a damp cloth to ensure a tight seal. A clean gasket prevents air leakage and maintains internal conditions.
- Ensure the gasket is properly seated in its channel after any cleaning or adjustments.
