5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning Your Apple Watch
To clean your Apple Watch, wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth. If necessary, lightly dampen the cloth with fresh water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure the watch is dry before charging.
5.2 Water Resistance
Your Apple Watch SE 3 is water resistant to 50 meters, making it suitable for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. It should not be used for scuba diving, waterskiing, or other activities involving high-velocity water or submersion below shallow depths. Water resistance is not a permanent condition and may diminish over time.
5.3 Battery Care
For optimal battery life, avoid exposing your Apple Watch to extreme temperatures. Charge your device regularly, but it is not necessary to fully discharge it before recharging. The battery is designed for all-day use, up to 18 hours, and up to 32 hours in Low Power Mode.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- Watch not turning on: Ensure the watch is charged. Connect it to the charging cable and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes.
- Pairing issues: Ensure your iPhone's Bluetooth is on and both devices are close. Restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch.
- Inaccurate heart rate readings: Ensure the watch is snug on your wrist, but not too tight. Clean the back of the watch.
- Poor battery life: Check for apps running in the background. Adjust display brightness. Enable Low Power Mode.
- Apps not responding: Force quit the app by pressing the side button, then rotating the Digital Crown to the app, swiping left, and tapping the 'X'. Restart your Apple Watch if the issue persists.
6.2 Restarting Your Apple Watch
If your Apple Watch is not responding, press and hold the side button until the power off slider appears, then drag the slider. To force restart, press and hold both the side button and the Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.
