2. What's in the Box

  • AirPods Pro 3 Earbuds (Left and Right)
  • MagSafe Charging Case (USB-C) with speaker and lanyard loop
  • Silicone ear tips (five sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L)
  • Note: A USB-C Charge Cable or power adapter is not included. You can use any compatible USB-C charging cable or power adapter. New Apple charging cables and power adapters are available for purchase separately.

3. Setup

3.1. Charging Your AirPods Pro 3

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge your AirPods Pro 3 and their MagSafe Charging Case.

  1. Place both AirPods into the charging case.
  2. Connect the USB-C end of a compatible charging cable to the port on the bottom of the MagSafe Charging Case.
  3. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB-C power adapter (sold separately) or a compatible USB-C port on a computer.
  4. The status light on the front of the case will indicate charging status. A green light indicates a full charge, while amber indicates less than a full charge.
  5. The MagSafe Charging Case also supports wireless charging. Place the case on a MagSafe compatible charger or a Qi-certified charging mat with the status light facing up.

3.2. Pairing with Your Apple Device

AirPods Pro 3 offer seamless pairing with Apple devices.

  1. Ensure your Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Mac) has Bluetooth enabled and is running the latest operating system.
  2. Open the lid of your AirPods Pro 3 charging case with the AirPods inside, and hold it close to your Apple device.
  3. A setup animation will appear on your device's screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect.
  4. Once connected, your AirPods Pro 3 will automatically switch between your iCloud-connected devices.

3.3. Fitting Ear Tips

Proper ear tip fit is crucial for optimal sound quality and Active Noise Cancellation.

  1. Your AirPods Pro 3 come with five sizes of silicone ear tips: XXS, XS, S, M, and L.
  2. Gently pull off the currently attached ear tip from the AirPod.
  3. Select a new ear tip size and align it with the oval-shaped connector on the AirPod. Press firmly until it clicks into place.
  4. Use the Ear Tip Fit Test feature on your iPhone (Settings > Bluetooth > AirPods Pro > Ear Tip Fit Test) to determine the best fit for your ears.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode

AirPods Pro 3 offer two primary listening modes:

  • Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): Blocks out external sounds, allowing for an immersive audio experience.
  • Transparency Mode: Allows you to hear your surroundings while still enjoying your audio, useful for awareness in busy environments.

How to switch modes:

  • On AirPods: Press and hold the force sensor on the stem of either AirPod. You will hear a chime indicating the mode change.
  • On iPhone/iPad: Go to Control Center, press and hold the volume slider, then tap the Noise Control icon to select ANC, Transparency, or Off.

The force sensor on the stem of each AirPod allows for various controls:
