3.3 Installing the Bean Hopper and Adjusting Grind Size
Place your whole coffee beans into the bean hopper located on top of the machine. The integrated conical burr grinder offers 31 grind settings. Adjust the grind size dial to your preferred setting. Finer grinds are typically used for slower extraction and stronger espresso, while coarser grinds result in faster extraction.

3.4 First Use / Priming the Machine
Before making your first coffee, it is recommended to run a brewing cycle without adding ground coffee to preheat the brew head, portafilter, and cup. This ensures optimal temperature for extraction.

4. Operating
4.1 Grinding Coffee
Place the portafilter under the grinder chute. Select your desired grind amount and press the grind button. The machine will automatically dispense the freshly ground coffee into the portafilter.
4.2 Preparing Espresso
- Select the appropriate filter basket (single or double shot, pressurized or non-pressurized) and insert it into the portafilter.
- Grind your fresh coffee beans directly into the portafilter.
- Use the included tamper to press the ground coffee firmly and evenly. Ensure the tamped coffee is level with the maximum fill line.
- Attach the portafilter to the brew head by inserting it and turning it firmly to the right until it locks into place.
- Place your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray directly under the portafilter spouts.
- Press the single or double shot button to begin extraction. The machine's NTC&PID temperature control system ensures optimal water temperature for consistent flavor. Monitor the pressure gauge for ideal extraction range.

5.1 Cleaning the Drip Tray
The drip tray is detachable for easy cleaning. Regularly empty and clean the drip tray to prevent overflow and maintain hygiene.
5.2 Cleaning the Portafilter and Filter Baskets
After each use, remove the portafilter and discard the used coffee grounds. Rinse the portafilter and filter basket under hot water. Use the cleaning brush to remove any residual coffee particles.
5.3 Cleaning the Steam Wand
Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Periodically use the cleaning needle to clear any blockages in the steam wand tip.
5.4 Descaling
Regular descaling is crucial to maintain machine performance and extend its lifespan. Follow the descaling instructions provided in the full user manual or refer to the machine's descaling indicator.
