1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Antec AX65 ARGB PC Case. Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning the assembly process to ensure proper installation and safe usage. Keep this manual for future reference.

2. Package Contents

Verify that all items listed below are present in your package. If any items are missing or damaged, please contact your retailer or Antec support.

3. Setup and Component Installation

3.1 Preparation

  1. Unpack the PC case from its packaging.
  2. Remove the tempered glass side panel by unscrewing the thumb screws at the rear and carefully sliding it off. Place it on a soft, flat surface to prevent scratches.
  3. Remove the solid steel side panel by unscrewing the thumb screws at the rear and sliding it backward.
  4. Gather necessary tools: Phillips head screwdriver, cable ties (some included in accessory box).

3.2 Motherboard Installation

  1. Identify the correct standoff locations for your motherboard form factor (ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX). Install any necessary additional standoffs from the accessory box.
  2. Install the I/O shield into the rear opening of the case.
  3. Carefully place your motherboard onto the standoffs, aligning the screw holes.
  4. Secure the motherboard with the provided screws. Do not overtighten.

3.3 Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation

  1. Position the PSU into the dedicated compartment at the bottom rear of the case.
  2. Ensure the PSU fan faces downwards (if the case has a bottom vent) or upwards (if no bottom vent).
  3. Secure the PSU to the rear of the case with the provided screws.

3.4 Storage Drive Installation

The AX65 supports both 2.5" SSDs and 3.5" HDDs.

3.5 Expansion Card Installation (e.g., GPU)

  1. Remove the necessary PCI-E slot covers from the rear of the case.
  2. Align your expansion card with the PCI-E slot on the motherboard.
  3. Press firmly until the card is seated correctly.
  4. Secure the card with the provided screw.

3.6 Cable Management

Utilize the cable routing cutouts and tie-down points behind the motherboard tray to organize cables. This improves airflow and aesthetics.

3.7 Fan and Cooling Setup

The AX65 comes with three 120mm ARGB fans pre-installed at the front and one 120mm ARGB fan at the rear.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On

After all components are installed and cables are connected, replace the side panels. Connect your monitor, keyboard, mouse, and power cable. Flip the switch on your PSU to the 'ON' position, then press the power button on the case's top I/O panel.

4.2 ARGB Lighting Control

The pre-installed ARGB fans can be controlled via your motherboard's ARGB software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync) if connected to a compatible 3-pin 5V ARGB header. Refer to your motherboard manual for specific software instructions.

4.3 Front I/O Panel

The convenient top I/O panel provides easy access to essential ports and controls:

5. Maintenance

5.1 Dust Filter Cleaning

Regular cleaning of dust filters is crucial for maintaining optimal airflow and cooling performance.

Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces of the case. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. For internal cleaning, use compressed air to remove dust from components and fan blades.
