Setup

Charging the Sharpener

The sharpener comes with a built-in rechargeable battery. To charge:

1. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the charging port located at the back of the sharpener.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a 5V 2A adapter (adapter not included).
3. The charging indicator light will blink blue while charging and turn solid blue when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Note: Do not use fast-charge devices with this sharpener.

Placement

For optimal stability during use, place the sharpener on a flat, clean surface. The four suction cups on the base will help secure the device and prevent sliding or scratching.

Operating Instructions

Selecting Pencil Size

The sharpener features a rotating dial with six different holes to accommodate various pencil diameters (6mm to 11mm). Rotate the dial to select the hole that best fits your pencil.

Sharpening a Pencil

1. Select the appropriate hole size for your pencil.
2. Insert the pencil firmly and parallel into the selected hole.
3. Apply gentle pressure. The sharpener will automatically start.
4. Continue applying pressure until the motor stops, indicating the pencil is perfectly sharpened.
5. Remove the pencil.

Note: If you do not push the pencil with enough pressure, the sharpener might stop prematurely as it may not sense the pencil.

Maintenance

Emptying the Shavings Bin

The transparent shavings bin should be emptied regularly to maintain optimal performance and prevent blockages.

1. Gently pull out the transparent shavings bin from the front of the sharpener.
2. Discard the pencil shavings.
3. Slide the shavings bin back into place until it clicks securely. The sharpener will not operate if the bin is not properly installed due to a safety mechanism.

Troubleshooting

Pencil Jamming

If a pencil lead breaks inside the sharpener or the mechanism jams:

1. Insert a sharp lead pencil and apply a bit more stress several times. This may push out the jammed lead.
2. If the above step is not effective, carefully remove the shaving case. Cover your hands with gloves for safety. Turn the sharpening blade until you can see the sharpening center. Gently pick out any broken lead.

No Power/Does Not Turn On

If the sharpener does not power on or operate:

1. Ensure the shavings bin is fully and securely closed. There is a safety sensor bar on the back that prevents operation if the bin is open or improperly seated.
2. Check the battery charge. Recharge the sharpener using a 5V/2A adapter if the battery is low.
