Familiarize yourself with the various parts and controls of your Thunelec G9 Bluetooth Headset.

  1. USB Type-C Port: For charging the headset.
  2. Multi-function Button: Power On/Off (3s/5s press), Answer/Hang up (x1 press), Play/Pause (x1 press), Replay (x1 press), Reject (2s press).
  3. Mic Mute Button: Mute microphone (x1 press), Activate Siri (x2 press).
  4. Volume Up / Next Song Button: Volume+ (x1 press), Next song (long press).
  5. Volume Down / Previous Song Button: Volume- (x1 press), Previous song (long press).

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Headset

Before first use, fully charge the headset and its charging case.

  • Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the headset's Type-C port or the charging case's Type-C port.
  • Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (not included).
  • The LED display on the charging case will indicate the battery level. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours.

4.2 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Multi-function Button for 3 seconds. The indicator light will flash.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Multi-function Button for 5 seconds. The indicator light will turn off.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

Initial Pairing (Single Device):

  1. Ensure the headset is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Multi-function Button for approximately 5 seconds until the indicator light flashes red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "G9" from the list of devices.
  5. Once connected, the indicator light will flash blue slowly.

Dual Device Pairing:

The Thunelec G9 headset supports simultaneous connection to two Bluetooth devices.

  1. Pair the headset with the first device following the "Initial Pairing" steps.
  2. Disable Bluetooth on the first device. The headset will re-enter pairing mode.
  3. Pair the headset with the second device.
  4. Re-enable Bluetooth on the first device. The headset should automatically connect to both devices.

4.4 Wearing the Headset

The headset features an ergonomic earhook and a flip-boom arm for a secure and comfortable fit. It can be worn on either the left or right ear.

  • Adjust the earhook to fit comfortably over your ear.
  • Rotate the flip-boom arm to position the microphone closer to your mouth for optimal voice pickup.
  • Experiment with the three included ear cap sizes (S, M, L) to find the best fit for your ear canal.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Call Management

  • Answer/End Call: Press the Multi-function Button once.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-function Button for 2 seconds.
  • Redial Last Number: Press the Multi-function Button twice.
  • Mute/Unmute Microphone: Press the Mic Mute Button once during a call.

5.2 Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Press the Multi-function Button once.
  • Next Song: Long press the Volume+ button.
  • Previous Song: Long press the Volume- button.
  • Volume Up: Press the Volume+ button once.
  • Volume Down: Press the Volume- button once.

5.3 Voice Assistant

  • Activate Voice Assistant (Siri, Google Assistant, etc.): Press the Mic Mute Button twice.

5.4 Noise Cancellation

The Thunelec G9 features dual microphones with ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) and CVC 8.0 (Clear Voice Capture) technology to reduce background noise and enhance voice clarity during calls.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Regularly clean the ear caps and the headset with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.
  • Ensure the charging contacts on both the headset and the charging case are clean and free of debris to ensure proper charging.

6.2 Storage

  • When not in use, store the headset in its charging case to protect it from dust and damage.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

6.3 Water Resistance

The Thunelec G9 headset is IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can withstand sweat, rain, and accidental splashes. However, it is not designed for submersion in water. Avoid using it while swimming or showering.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your headset, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
