2. What's in the Box
Upon unpacking, please verify that all the following components are included:
- Qlaway K078L Electric Scooter
- Charger
- Instruction Manual (this document)
- Luggage Seat (if applicable to your model variant)

3. Setup and Assembly
The Qlaway K078L Electric Scooter is designed for easy assembly. Typically, it requires minimal setup to get started.
- Unfolding the Scooter: Carefully unfold the scooter from its compact state. Ensure all locking mechanisms click securely into place.
- Handlebar Attachment: Attach the handlebars to the main stem. Secure them using the provided screws.
- Charging: Before initial use, fully charge the scooter's battery. Connect the charger to the charging port and a power outlet. The charging indicator will show when charging is complete. A full charge takes approximately 5 hours.
- Seat Installation (if applicable): If your model includes a luggage seat, follow the specific instructions provided with the seat for proper installation.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
To power on the scooter, press and hold the power button located on the handlebar display until the screen illuminates. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.
4.2 Speed Modes
The scooter features multiple speed modes to suit different riding conditions. Double-click the power button to cycle through the available speed modes (e.g., ECO, D, S). The current mode will be indicated on the display.
- ECO Mode: Energy-saving mode, typically for longer range at lower speeds.
- D Mode: Standard drive mode for balanced performance.
- S Mode (Sport Mode): Provides maximum speed and acceleration, up to 19 MPH.
4.3 Acceleration and Braking
Use the acceleration lever on the right handlebar to control speed. The scooter is equipped with a dual braking system for effective stopping: a hand brake on the left handlebar and a rear foot brake. Applying the hand brake will also activate the rear brake light for increased visibility.
4.4 Lights and Bell
The scooter includes a bright front headlight and a 360° visible taillight for night riding safety. The taillight also functions as a brake light. A bell is integrated into the handlebar for alerting pedestrians and other riders.

4.5 Cruise Control
The E-scooter features a cruise control function. After maintaining a steady speed for 8 seconds, the cruise control will activate, allowing for comfortable and effortless riding. Any acceleration or braking action will deactivate this function.
4.6 App Control
The Qlaway E-Scooter can be controlled via a dedicated smartphone application. The app allows for features such as locking/unlocking, power on/off, fault detection, battery monitoring, cruise control activation, lighting mode selection, speed mode adjustment (E/D/S), zero-start (kick start) setting, and riding tracking.

5. Safety Guidelines
NOTICE: In New York State, you cannot use this device on sidewalks or on highways with speed limits over 30 MPH except where local laws, ordinances, orders, rules, or regulations allow. Consult with local cities, towns, or villages where operating this device for their specific conditions, always yield to pedestrians, and follow traffic rules.
Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear when riding. Ensure you are familiar with local regulations regarding electric scooter use. Avoid riding in adverse weather conditions or on slippery surfaces. Do not exceed the maximum weight limit of 265 lbs.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Tires
The Qlaway K078L is equipped with 8.5-inch honeycomb solid tires, which are maintenance-free. They do not require air, pumps, or patches, eliminating concerns about punctures and tire maintenance costs.

6.2 Battery
The scooter uses a 37V 7.8Ah (288.6Wh) lithium-ion battery with a built-in intelligent BMS system. For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently and store the scooter in a cool, dry place when not in use. Charge the battery fully before long periods of storage.

7. Folding and Portability
The Qlaway K078L features a foldable and lightweight aluminum alloy frame, making it easy to carry and store. The scooter weighs approximately 27.5 lbs (without the 6 lbs seat). Follow the folding mechanism instructions to collapse the scooter for transport or storage.

9. Troubleshooting
- Scooter not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds. If the issue persists, check the charger connection.
- Reduced range or speed: This can be due to low battery, riding uphill frequently, heavy load, or extreme temperatures. Ensure the battery is fully charged and consider riding in ECO mode for extended range.
- App connectivity issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the scooter is powered on. Try restarting both the app and the scooter.
- Unusual noises: Stop riding immediately and inspect the scooter for any loose parts or obstructions. Contact customer support if the noise persists or indicates a mechanical issue.
