4. Setup and Installation

This 1 DIN car stereo is designed for universal fit in most dashboards. Follow these steps for proper installation.

4.1 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the detailed wiring diagram for correct connections. Incorrect wiring can damage the unit or your vehicle's electrical system.

  • Power Cable: Connect the yellow wire to the constant 12V power, the red wire to the accessory 12V power (switched), and the black wire to ground.
  • Speaker Cables: Connect the speaker wires to the corresponding vehicle speaker outputs. Ensure correct polarity.
  • AUX/USB/TF Ports: These are located on the front panel for easy access.
  • Rear Connections: The rear panel includes ports for video output (V-OUT1, V-OUT2), audio output (R-OUT, L-OUT), camera input (CAMIN), and USB.

4.2 Steering Wheel Control (SWC) Wiring

The car's steering wheel control line may have 1-3 cables. Follow these guidelines:

  • For 1 cable wiring: Choose either KEY1 or KEY2 to connect.
  • For 2 cables wiring:
    1. If one is positive and one is negative: Connect the positive to KEY1 or KEY2.
    2. Connect the negative wire to the car radio's black wire (ground).
  • For 3 cables wiring: They should be two positive and one negative.
    1. Connect the two positive SWC wires to KEY1 and KEY2 of the power cable.
    2. Connect the negative wire to the car radio's black wire (ground).

After wiring, navigate to "Settings - Wheel Controls" on the unit to program and test button functions.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto

Connect your iPhone or Android phone wirelessly or via cable for seamless access to navigation, music, calls, and more. Voice control is supported.

  • Connection: Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your smartphone. On the car stereo, select the CarPlay or Android Auto icon and follow the on-screen prompts to pair your device.
  • Voice Control: Use "Hey Siri" or "OK Google" to activate voice commands for navigation, calls, and music playback.

5.2 Mirror Link Function

The Mirror Link function allows you to display your smartphone's screen directly on the car stereo's large display. Connect your phone via USB and follow the instructions on the unit to activate screen mirroring.

5.3 Bluetooth 5.2 Connectivity

The unit features Bluetooth 5.2 for high-quality audio streaming and hands-free calling.

  • Pairing: Go to the Bluetooth menu on the stereo, enable Bluetooth on your phone, and select the stereo from the list of available devices. Confirm the pairing code.
  • Hands-Free Calling: Once paired, you can make and receive calls directly through the stereo.
  • Audio Streaming: Play music from your phone via Bluetooth.

5.4 FM Radio

Access your favorite radio stations with the built-in FM tuner.

  • Tuning: Use the scan function to automatically search for and save stations, or manually tune to a specific frequency (87.5-108.0 MHz).
  • Presets: Save your preferred stations to the preset buttons for quick access.

5.5 Audio Equalizer (EQ) Settings

Customize your audio experience with the integrated equalizer.

  • Adjustments: Modify frequency bands (30Hz to 16KHz) to suit your listening preferences.
  • Presets: Choose from predefined sound modes such as Jazz, Classic, Rock, Pop, or Flat. A 'User' mode allows for custom settings.

5.6 Multimedia Connections

The unit supports various multimedia inputs for playback and charging.

  • Programming: After wiring the SWC (refer to Section 4.2), go to "Settings - Wheel Controls". Press a button on your steering wheel, then select the corresponding function on the stereo screen to assign it.

5.8 Rear View Camera (Optional)

The unit supports an optional rear view camera for enhanced parking safety.

  • Connection: Connect the camera to the CAMIN port on the rear of the unit. Ensure the camera's power is connected to the reverse light circuit.
  • Operation: The display will automatically switch to the camera view when the vehicle is put into reverse.

6. Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity of your car stereo.

  • Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the touch screen. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • General Cleaning: Keep the unit free from dust and debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air to clean around buttons and ports.
  • Avoid Liquids: Do not spill liquids directly onto the unit.
  • Temperature Extremes: While designed for car environments, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold when possible.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions before contacting support.
