1. Introduction

The PET LAYSON Pumpless Cat Water Fountain is designed to provide a continuous supply of fresh, filtered water for your pets. Its innovative cordless and pumpless design ensures quiet operation, easy cleaning, and flexible placement anywhere in your home. With a 3.6L capacity and smart hydration modes, it promotes healthier drinking habits for both cats and dogs.

2. Setup Guide

2.1. Unboxing and Initial Cleaning

Before first use, thoroughly clean all components of the fountain to ensure hygiene for your pet.

1. Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
2. Wash the water tank, stainless steel tray, and all other detachable parts with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Use the provided cleaning brush to clean the internal tube to prevent any residue buildup.

2.2. Filter Preparation

The 4-layer filtration system ensures clean and oxygen-rich water. Proper preparation of the filter is crucial for optimal performance.

1. Remove the filter from its sealed packaging.
2. Soak the filter in a bowl of clean water for 5 minutes before placing it in the fountain. This activates the filter media.
3. Rinse the soaked filter under running water to remove any loose carbon particles.

2.3. Assembly and Filling

Follow these steps to assemble and fill your fountain.

1. Place the prepared filter into its designated slot in the main unit. Ensure the curved side of the filter aligns with the curved base of the slot.
2. Insert the Maglev Valve component into the base of the fountain, ensuring it fits securely.
3. Attach the water tube to the Maglev Valve.
4. Place the stainless steel tray on top of the main unit, aligning it with the water tube and the Maglev Valve.
5. Fill the water tank with clean water up to the maximum fill line. The fountain has a 3.6L (122oz) capacity.
6. Ensure the battery is charged. The fountain features a 5,000mAh rechargeable battery for long-lasting operation.

3. Operating Modes

The PET LAYSON water fountain offers three smart hydration modes to suit your pet's needs.

• Motion Sensor Mode: When the device detects a pet passing by, it immediately dispenses water for 45 seconds to keep the pet hydrated. This mode conserves battery life.
• Timer Mode: Dispenses water for 60 seconds every 2 minutes. This mode extends the life of the water pump and ensures fresh water throughout the day.
• Continuous Mode: Provides a steady flow of water when the fountain is plugged in. This mode is ideal for multi-pet households or when continuous water access is desired.

To switch between modes, briefly press the power button. The indicator lights on the top panel will show the current mode and status.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential to maintain water quality and prolong the life of your fountain. The pumpless design makes cleaning exceptionally easy.

• Disassemble all detachable parts (stainless steel tray, water tube, Maglev Valve, filter).
• Wash all parts with mild soap and water. For hard-to-reach areas, use the provided cleaning brush.
• Rinse all components thoroughly to remove any soap residue.
• Wipe the main unit and base with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the main unit in water.
• Reassemble the fountain once all parts are dry.

4.2. Filter Replacement

Replace the filter every 2 to 4 weeks, or as indicated by the filter replacement light, to ensure optimal filtration.

1. Turn off the fountain and remove the stainless steel tray.
2. Remove the old filter by pulling the tab. Dispose of the used filter.
3. Prepare a new filter by soaking and rinsing it as described in the Setup Guide.
4. Insert the new filter into the slot, ensuring it is pushed down firmly.
5. Press and hold the filter timer reset button (middle button) for 3 seconds until the white light flashes, indicating the filter timer has been reset.

4.3. Battery Charging

The fountain's built-in 5,000mAh rechargeable battery provides extended use. Charge the battery when the battery indicator light shows low power (flashing red).

• Connect the charging cable to the fountain's charging port and a suitable power adapter.
• The battery indicator light will show breathing green during charging.
• Once fully charged, the light will turn solid green.
• The removable battery allows for easy recharging.
