Setup
Initial Charging
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the EDC37. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the flashlight's USB-C port and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank). The OLED display will show the charging process and battery level. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.
Attaching the Lanyard
Locate the lanyard attachment point on the flashlight. Thread the included lanyard through the hole and secure it as desired for convenient carrying and to prevent accidental drops.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- To Turn On: Fully press the round tail button.
- To Turn Off: Fully press the round tail button again.
Brightness Levels
With the flashlight on, half-press the round tail button to cycle through brightness levels (Ultralow, Low, Mid, High). Release the button to select the desired level.
Special Modes (Lumen Shield, Search, Strobe)
- Lumen Shield (Burst Mode): From any state (on or off), press and hold the rectangular customizable button to activate the 8000 lumen Lumen Shield. Release to return to the previous state or turn off.
- Tactical Search Mode: The customizable button can be configured to activate a 3000 lumen search mode. Consult the OLED display settings for configuration.
- Strobe Mode: The customizable button can also be configured to activate Strobe mode. Consult the OLED display settings for configuration.

OLED Display Information
The OLED display provides real-time operational data:
- Battery Remaining: Shows current battery percentage.
- Current Brightness Level: Displays the active lumen output.
- Runtime Remaining: Estimates remaining operational time at the current brightness.
- Charging Process: Indicates charging status when connected to power.
- Lockout Mode: Confirms when the flashlight is locked.
- Factory Reset: Confirms successful reset.
Lockout Function
To prevent accidental activation, slide the Rapid Lock™ lockout switch to the locked position. Both buttons will be unresponsive. Slide it back to unlock for normal operation.
Charging
The Nitecore EDC37 features an integrated USB-C charging port for convenient and fast recharging. The flashlight supports 18W intelligent fast charging, compatible with PD/QC fast charging protocols.
- Connect the USB-C cable to the flashlight's port.
- Connect the other end to a USB power adapter or power bank.
- The OLED display will show the charging progress.
- Charging is complete when the display indicates full battery.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting
- Flashlight Not Turning On:
- Check if the lockout switch is engaged. Slide it to the unlocked position.
- Ensure the battery has sufficient charge. Recharge if necessary.
- Low Output or Short Runtime:
- The battery may be low. Recharge the flashlight.
- High output modes generate heat, which can cause the flashlight to step down brightness to prevent overheating. This is normal operation.
- Charging Issues:
- Ensure the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the flashlight and the power source.
- Try a different USB-C cable or power adapter.
- Check the USB-C port for any debris that might obstruct connection.
- OLED Display Not Working:
- Ensure the flashlight is powered on or connected to a charger.
