Setup

  1. Prepare Your Home: Before the first use, clear any obstacles, loose cables, or small items from the floor that could entangle the robot.
  2. Place the Charging Dock: Select a location for the charging dock against a wall in an open area, with at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) clear on either side and 5 feet (1.5 meters) clear in front. Ensure the dock is on a hard, level surface and not near stairs or heat sources. Plug the power cord into the dock and then into a wall outlet.
  3. Charge the Robot: Place the robot onto the charging dock. Ensure the metal charging contacts on the robot align with those on the dock. The robot's indicator lights will illuminate to show it is charging. Allow the robot to fully charge before its first cleaning cycle (approximately 6 hours).
  4. Download the SharkClean App: For full functionality, download the SharkClean app from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot to your home Wi-Fi network. This enables remote control, scheduling, and mapping features.
  5. Initial Mapping Run: Once charged and connected to the app, initiate a mapping run. The robot will explore your home to create a detailed map, which is essential for SmartPath Navigation and targeted cleaning. Ensure all doors are open to areas you want mapped.
