Initial Setup
The Nitecore EDC37 comes with a built-in 8000mAh high-capacity Li-ion battery. Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the device.
Charging Instructions
Connect the included USB-C charging cable to the USB-C port located on the side of the flashlight. Ensure the plastic port cover is fully opened. Connect the other end to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank) that supports PD/QC fast charging for optimal speed. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours. The OLED display will show the charging process and battery percentage.

Operation
Power On/Off & Mode Selection
The EDC37 features dual-stage tactical buttons for intuitive control.
- Dual-Stage Tail Button:
- Half Press: Adjusts brightness levels (ULTRALOW, 15 lumens, 100 lumens, 400 lumens, 1500 lumens).
- Full Press: Turns the flashlight On/Off.
- Dual-Stage Customizable Button: This button can be configured for instant access to SEARCH, LUMIN SHIELD, or STROBE modes. Half-press-and-hold and full-press-and-hold functions can be independently set.

Rapid Lock™ Lockout Switch
To prevent accidental activation during storage or transport, slide the Rapid Lock Lockout Switch to the locked position. The OLED display will show "LOCKOUT". Slide it back to unlock. Note: Both tactical buttons are unavailable when the flashlight is in Lockout Mode.

Care and Maintenance
Keep the device clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Detachable Ceramic Tips
The high-hardness silicon nitride ceramic tips are detachable. For general use or to comply with certain regulations, they can be removed and replaced with the included screws. Use the provided tool to unscrew and replace the tips.

Common Issues
- Flashlight not turning on: Check if the Rapid Lock Lockout Switch is in the unlocked position. Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged.
- Dim output: Recharge the battery. If the issue persists, ensure the lens is clean.
- Overheating: The EDC37 features triple temperature control. If the device becomes excessively hot, it may automatically reduce output to prevent damage. Allow it to cool down.
