4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps carefully to install your new ceiling fan remote control kit:

  1. Disconnect Power: Before beginning any installation, ensure the power to the ceiling fan is completely disconnected at the circuit breaker.
  2. Access Wiring: Remove the canopy of your ceiling fan to access the existing wiring.
  3. Install Receiver: Connect the receiver unit according to the wiring diagram provided. Use the included wire nuts to secure connections. Ensure all connections are tight and properly insulated. The receiver is designed to fit within the fan's canopy.
  4. Wiring Diagram:
    • AC 110-120V 60Hz (Input): Connect the RED wire from the receiver to the live wire from the house supply. Connect the WHITE wire from the receiver to the neutral wire from the house supply.
    • To Fan (Output): Connect the BLUE wire from the receiver to the fan's light wire. Connect the BLACK wire from the receiver to the fan's motor wire. Connect the WHITE wire from the receiver to the fan's neutral wire.
  5. Secure Canopy: Once the receiver is installed and wired, carefully tuck all wires into the canopy and reattach the canopy to the ceiling fan.
  6. Install Remote Battery: Open the battery compartment on the back of the RC-92T remote control and insert one 12V battery (not included), ensuring correct polarity.
  7. Initial Power On: Restore power to the ceiling fan at the circuit breaker. Turn on the fan and light using your original wall switch, setting the fan to its highest speed.
  8. Pairing (Learning Function): The kit is pre-configured. If it fails to work, you may need to re-match the remote and receiver. Within 30 seconds of restoring power to the fan, press and hold the "LEARN" button located inside the remote's battery compartment for 3-5 seconds. You will hear a beep or see the indicator light flash a few times, confirming successful pairing.
