Operating Instructions

This Merax canopy bed is designed for standard use as a sleeping surface. No complex operation is required.

  • Place your box spring and mattress on the assembled bed frame.
  • Ensure the combined height of your mattress and box spring is approximately 17 inches for optimal aesthetic and comfort.
  • The canopy frame can be used to hang lightweight decorative fabrics or curtains, but avoid hanging heavy objects that could compromise stability.
  • Do not jump on the bed or subject it to excessive force, as this may damage the frame.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and appearance of your bed frame.

  • Cleaning Metal Parts: Wipe metal surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
  • Cleaning Upholstered Headboard: For the linen upholstered headboard, spot clean with a mild fabric cleaner as needed. Test on an inconspicuous area first. Do not saturate the fabric.
  • Fastener Check: Periodically (every 3-6 months) check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary to prevent wobbling or squeaking.
  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the upholstered fabric to fade over time.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your bed frame, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Wobbling or Instability: Ensure all bolts and screws are fully tightened. Check that the bed is on a level surface.
  • Squeaking Noises: Squeaking often indicates loose connections. Retighten all fasteners. Applying a small amount of lubricant (e.g., silicone spray) to metal-on-metal contact points can also help.
  • Missing Parts: If you find parts missing during assembly, do not proceed. Contact Merax customer support immediately for assistance.
  • Damaged Parts: If any part is damaged, do not attempt to assemble or use the bed. Contact customer support for replacement parts.
