Assembly Instructions
The FREDBECK barn door requires simple assembly. Follow these steps carefully.
- Unpack and Inspect: Carefully unpack all components and inspect for any damage or missing parts. Refer to the "Package Contents" section.
- Assemble Door Panels: The spruce wood panels are mitered for a snug fit. Arrange the panels according to the K-Frame design. Secure them using the provided screws and pre-drilled holes. Ensure all connections are tight.
- Attach Handle: Install the pull handle to the desired side of the door using the provided hardware.
- Install Hangers: Attach the hangers to the top edge of the assembled door slab. Ensure they are securely fastened and properly aligned.
- Mount Track:
- Determine the mounting height for the track. The track should be mounted above the door opening, allowing sufficient clearance for the door to slide.
- Locate wall studs. It is crucial to mount the track into wall studs for stability. If studs do not align, a sturdy header board (minimum 1x6 inch, not included) must be installed across the door opening and securely fastened to studs, then the track mounted to the header board.
- Drill pilot holes for the track mounting screws.
- Attach the track sections to the wall using the spacers and mounting hardware. Ensure the track is level and securely fastened.
- Hang Door: With assistance, carefully lift the assembled door and hook the hangers onto the track.
- Install Floor Guide: Position the floor guide in the pre-made groove at the bottom of the door. Secure it to the floor to prevent the door from swinging out.
- Adjust and Test: Slide the door back and forth to ensure smooth operation. Adjust the track stoppers to prevent the door from sliding too far.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your barn door.
- Cleaning: Wipe the door and hardware with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the wood finish or hardware.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all screws and bolts on the hangers, track, and handle to ensure they remain tight. Tighten if necessary.
