3. Setup and Assembly
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Base Assembly: Attach the wheeled base frame to the main body of the chipper using the provided fasteners. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Collection Bag Attachment: Slide the 50L collection bag into its designated slot at the bottom of the chipper. Ensure it is properly seated and the safety interlock is engaged. The machine will not operate if the collection box is not correctly attached.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to a suitable 220-240V, 50Hz power outlet. Ensure the outlet is protected by a residual current device (RCD).
- Pre-Operation Check: Before each use, inspect the chipper for any visible damage, loose parts, or obstructions in the feed chute or discharge area.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Starting the Chipper
- Ensure the chipper is on a stable, level surface.
- Verify the collection bag is correctly installed and the safety interlock is engaged.
- Press the ON button (usually green) to start the motor. Allow the motor to reach full speed before feeding material.
4.2 Feeding Material
- Only feed dry, clean material. Avoid feeding wet, muddy, or excessively fibrous material.
- Feed branches and twigs into the feed chute one at a time. Do not force material into the opening.
- The maximum cutting diameter is 35mm. Do not attempt to shred branches exceeding this size.
- For leafy material, feed in small bundles to prevent clogging.
- Use the provided pusher tool (if included) to guide material into the chute, never your hands.

4.3 Stopping the Chipper
- When finished, or if a blockage occurs, press the OFF button (usually red).
- Wait for all moving parts to come to a complete stop before approaching the machine.
- Disconnect the power supply from the mains outlet.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your chipper.
- Cleaning: After each use, disconnect power and clean the feed chute and discharge area. Remove any accumulated debris. Use a brush or compressed air; never use water directly on electrical components.
- Blade Inspection: Periodically inspect the cutting blades for sharpness and damage. Dull or damaged blades can reduce performance and increase motor strain. Refer to a qualified service technician for blade replacement or sharpening.
- Storage: Store the chipper in a dry, well-ventilated area, protected from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure the power cord is neatly coiled.
- Safety Interlocks: Regularly check that all safety interlocks (e.g., collection bag sensor) are functioning correctly.
