  5. Storage: Once clean and dry, store the griddle in a cool, dry place. The compact design allows for convenient storage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your griddle, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Griddle does not heat up:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the griddle and a working electrical outlet.
    • Check if the temperature control dial is set to an ON position (not OFF).
    • Verify that the power outlet is functional by testing it with another appliance.
  • Griddle heats unevenly:
    • Ensure the griddle is placed on a flat, level surface. Uneven surfaces can affect heat distribution.
    • Allow sufficient preheating time as specified in the operating instructions. The built-in thermostat is designed for even heating.
  • Griddle shuts off unexpectedly:
    • The griddle is equipped with overheat protection. If the unit becomes too hot, it will automatically shut off. Unplug the unit and allow it to cool down completely before attempting to use it again. Ensure proper ventilation around the griddle during operation.
  • Food sticks to the surface:
    • Ensure the nonstick surface is clean and free of residue from previous cooking.
    • Use a small amount of cooking oil or butter if necessary, especially for foods prone to sticking.
    • Avoid using metal utensils that could scratch and damage the nonstick coating.

If problems persist, please contact COSTWAY customer support.
