Maintenance
Self-Cleaning Function
The ice maker features an automatic self-cleaning function:
- Ensure the machine is connected to a water supply and drain.
- Long press the "CLEAN" button for more than 5 seconds to activate the cleaning program.
- The cleaning cycle typically takes about 5 minutes.
- It is recommended to run the cleaning program twice before making the first batch of ice, and regularly thereafter based on usage.

Regular Cleaning and Drainage
In addition to the self-cleaning function, manual attention is required:
- We recommend draining water from the machine once a day by pulling out the small hose on the right side of the water tank. This prevents mineral buildup and maintains ice quality.
- Periodically wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
- Clean the ice storage bin regularly.
- Replace the water filter as needed to ensure crystal-clear, safe ice.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ice maker, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No ice production / Machine not starting | Not plugged in; water supply off; drain pipe not correctly positioned; machine not upright for 24 hours initially. | Check power connection; ensure water supply is on; verify drain pipe is below the machine's drain; if new, ensure 24-hour upright wait. |
| Ice cubes stuck together / Wet ice | Ice thickness setting too high; high ambient temperature; insufficient drainage. | Adjust ice thickness setting to a thinner option; ensure machine is in a cool, well-ventilated area; confirm drain pipe is clear and properly positioned. |
| "Water Shortage" indicator on | No water supply; clogged water filter. | Check water connection and supply; clean or replace water filter. |
| "Ice Full" indicator on, but bin not full | Ice sensor obstructed or dirty. | Clear any ice blocking the sensor; clean the sensor area. |
For issues not listed here, please contact EUHOMY customer support.
