1. Product Overview

2. Getting Started (Setup)

2.1 Package Contents

Before you begin, please ensure all items are present in your package:

  • UMIDIGI A15C Smartphone
  • USB Type-C Cable
  • Power Adapter
  • SIM Eject Tool
  • Quick Start Guide
  • Screen Protector (pre-applied or included)
  • Protective Case (if included in your specific package)

2.2 Inserting SIM Card and MicroSD Card

The UMIDIGI A15C supports dual Nano-SIM cards or one Nano-SIM card and one MicroSD card for expandable storage.

  1. Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the phone.
  2. Insert the SIM eject tool into the small hole next to the tray and press firmly until the tray pops out.
  3. Carefully pull out the SIM tray.
  4. Place your Nano-SIM card(s) and/or MicroSD card into the designated slots on the tray, ensuring the gold contacts face downwards. Refer to the diagram on the tray for correct orientation.
  5. Gently push the tray back into the phone until it clicks into place.

2.3 Initial Power On and Setup

  1. Press and hold the Power button (located on the right side of the phone) until the UMIDIGI logo appears on the screen.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup, which includes selecting your language, connecting to Wi-Fi, setting up your Google account, and configuring security features like fingerprint unlock or face unlock.

3. Basic Operations

3.1 Power On/Off and Restart

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the device vibrates and the UMIDIGI logo appears.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the power menu appears. Tap "Power off" and confirm.
  • Restart: Press and hold the Power button until the power menu appears. Tap "Restart" and confirm.

3.2 Screen Unlock

The UMIDIGI A15C supports multiple screen unlock methods:

  • Side Fingerprint Sensor: Register your fingerprint(s) in Settings > Security & privacy > Device unlock > Fingerprint. Place your registered finger on the side-mounted sensor to unlock.
  • AI Face Unlock: Register your face data in Settings > Security & privacy > Device unlock > Face unlock. Look at the front camera to unlock the device.
  • Pattern/PIN/Password: Standard Android unlock methods.

3.3 Navigation

The UMIDIGI A15C uses standard Android navigation gestures or buttons, configurable in Settings > System > Gestures.

  • Home: Swipe up from the bottom (gesture) or tap the home button.
  • Back: Swipe from the left or right edge (gesture) or tap the back button.
  • Recent Apps: Swipe up from the bottom and hold (gesture) or tap the recent apps button.

3.4 NFC Functionality

The Multifunctional NFC (Near Field Communication) allows for quick and convenient data exchange and mobile payments.

  • Mobile Payments: Set up your preferred payment app (e.g., Google Pay) and tap your phone to compatible payment terminals.
  • Data Transfer: Share files, photos, or contacts by tapping your phone with another NFC-enabled device.
  • NFC Tags: Interact with NFC tags to trigger specific actions or access information.

4. Camera Usage

4.2 Taking Photos and Videos

  1. Open the "Camera" application from your home screen or app drawer.
  2. Select your desired mode (Photo, Video, Portrait, Macro, etc.) by swiping across the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap the shutter button to take a photo or start/stop video recording.
  4. Use the zoom gestures (pinch in/out) or switch between lenses for different perspectives.
  5. Tap the camera switch icon to toggle between the front and rear cameras.

5. Battery Management

5.1 Charging the Device

The UMIDIGI A15C is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and supports 10W fast charging via its USB Type-C port.

  1. Connect the USB Type-C cable to the charging port at the bottom of your phone.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to the power adapter.
  3. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
  4. The charging indicator will appear on the screen.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning Your Device
