  5. The meter will automatically power off after a period of inactivity. Press POWER again to restart.

6.2 DC Voltage Measurement (DCV)

  1. Set the rotary switch to the desired DCV range (e.g., 200mV, 2V, 20V, 200V, 1000V).
  2. Connect the black test lead to COM and the red test lead to VΩHzCAP.
  3. Connect the test probes across the component or circuit to be measured, observing polarity.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Wipe the case with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Keep the terminals free from dirt and dust.

7.2 Fuse Replacement

If the current measurement function fails, the fuse may need replacement. Refer to the specifications for the correct fuse type. To replace the fuse:

  1. Ensure the multimeter is turned off and disconnect all test leads.
  2. Open the back cover of the meter (usually involves removing screws).
  3. Carefully remove the old fuse and replace it with a new one of the identical type and rating.
  4. Securely close the back cover.

7.3 Storage

If the meter is not to be used for a long period, remove the battery to prevent leakage and store it in a cool, dry place.

8. Troubleshooting

If the multimeter does not function correctly, check the following:

  • No display or dim display: Check the battery. Replace if low.
  • Incorrect readings: Ensure the correct function and range are selected. Check test lead connections. Verify the circuit is de-energized for resistance/capacitance measurements.
  • Current measurement not working: Check the fuse. Replace if blown. Ensure test leads are connected to the correct current input jack (mA or 20A).
  • 'OL' (Overload) displayed: The measured value exceeds the selected range. Switch to a higher range.
