Product Overview

The Afloia dehumidifier system consists of portable dehumidifier sticks and a dedicated heating base for regeneration.

Dehumidifier Stick Features:

  • Silica Gel Beads: Non-toxic, high-performance beads absorb moisture.
  • Indicator Window: A transparent window at the top of each stick shows the status of the silica gel beads. Orange indicates dry (active), and dark green indicates saturated (requires regeneration).
  • 360° Air Intake: Cylindrical design with fine non-woven outer layer for efficient moisture absorption.
  • Compact Design: Portable and suitable for small spaces.

Heating Base Features:

  • PTC Heating: Efficiently heats the silica gel beads to release absorbed moisture.
  • Automatic Shut-off: Prevents overheating and ensures safety during regeneration.
  • Indicator Light: Shows the status of the heating process.

Setup

  1. Unpack all components from the packaging.
  2. Inspect the dehumidifier sticks and heating base for any visible damage.
  3. Ensure the silica gel beads in the dehumidifier sticks are orange, indicating they are dry and ready for use. If they are dark green, proceed to the "Regeneration" section.
  4. Place the dehumidifier sticks in the desired small spaces where moisture control is needed. They can be placed horizontally or vertically.

Operating Instructions

Moisture Absorption:

Once the dehumidifier sticks are placed in your desired location (e.g., gun safe, closet, bathroom, RV), they will begin absorbing moisture from the air. No power is needed for this process.

  • Monitor the indicator window on the top of each dehumidifier stick.
  • When the silica gel beads are orange, the stick is dry and actively absorbing moisture.
  • When the silica gel beads turn dark green, the stick is saturated with moisture and requires regeneration.

Regeneration (Drying the Dehumidifier Stick):

To renew a saturated dehumidifier stick, follow these steps:

  1. Place the saturated dehumidifier stick (dark green beads) onto the PTC heating base. Ensure it is seated properly.
  2. Plug the heating base into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator light on the base will illuminate, indicating the heating process has begun.
  3. Allow approximately two hours for the regeneration process. The PTC heating base will automatically shut off once the stick is dry and the beads have returned to orange.
  4. Once regeneration is complete, unplug the heating base. The dehumidifier stick is now ready for reuse.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the dehumidifier sticks and heating base with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the dehumidifier sticks and heating base in a cool, dry place.
  • Regular Check: Periodically check the indicator window on the dehumidifier sticks to determine if regeneration is needed.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Dehumidifier stick not absorbing moisture (beads remain dark green)Stick is saturated and needs regeneration.Place the stick on the heating base and plug it in for approximately 2 hours until beads turn orange.
Heating base indicator light not onBase not plugged in, power outlet issue, or stick not properly seated.Ensure the base is securely plugged into a working outlet. Re-seat the dehumidifier stick firmly on the base.
Silica gel beads not turning orange after regenerationInsufficient regeneration time or extremely high humidity saturation.Ensure the stick was on the heating base for the full 2 hours. If humidity is very high, it might take slightly longer or require another cycle. Ensure the base is functioning correctly.
Dehumidifier stick feels warm after regenerationNormal residual heat from the regeneration process.Allow the stick to cool down before handling or placing it back into an enclosed space.
