8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Borosil Prima Pro OTG, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Appliance does not turn on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check if the timer knob is set to a cooking duration or the 'Stay On' position. The appliance will not operate if the timer is at 'OFF'.
    • Verify that the temperature and selector knobs are set correctly.
  • Food is not cooking evenly:
    • Ensure food is placed centrally on the tray or rack.
    • Preheat the oven for 5-10 minutes before placing food inside.
    • Adjust the rack position for optimal heat distribution based on the food type.
  • Door does not close properly:
    • Check for any obstructions preventing the door from closing fully.
    • Ensure the grill rack or cooking tray is inserted correctly and not protruding.
  • Excessive smoke during operation (after initial burn-off):
    • This may indicate food residue or grease buildup. Unplug the oven, allow it to cool, and clean the interior thoroughly, especially the heating elements and crumb tray.
    • Ensure the crumb tray is clean and free of debris.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact Borosil customer support.
