2. Motherboard Installation

Install the necessary standoffs for your motherboard form factor (ATX, Micro-ATX, or Mini-ITX). Carefully place your motherboard into the case, aligning it with the standoffs and I/O shield opening. Secure the motherboard with screws.

3. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation

The BitFenix CETO Basic supports ATX power supplies up to 200mm in length, mounted at the bottom of the case. Slide the PSU into its designated bay and secure it with screws from the rear of the case.

4. Storage Device Installation

The case supports 2+1 3.5" drive bays and 2+1 2.5" drive bays. Install your HDDs and SSDs into the appropriate trays or mounting points and secure them.

5. Graphics Card (GPU) Installation

The case accommodates GPUs up to 390mm in length. Install your graphics card into the appropriate PCIe slot on your motherboard and secure it with the retention mechanism or screws.

6. Cooling System Installation (Fans & Radiators)

The case comes with three 120mm Infinity Mirroring ARGB fans pre-installed for enhanced airflow. The top panel supports radiators up to 360mm/280mm/240mm (max thickness 27mm), and the rear supports a 120mm radiator.

7. Cable Management

Utilize the 20mm cable management space behind the motherboard tray to route and secure cables. This improves airflow and aesthetics. Connect all necessary power cables from the PSU to your components and the front panel I/O cables to your motherboard.

The pre-installed ARGB fans connect to the included 8+8 Pin controller. Connect this controller to your power supply via SATA and to your motherboard's ARGB header (if available) for software control, or use the case's LED/Reset button for manual control.

Operating the Case Features

Front I/O Panel

The front I/O panel provides convenient access to essential ports and controls:

  • 1 x Type-C Port: For modern USB-C devices.
  • 2 x USB 3.0 Ports: For high-speed USB devices.
  • LED/Reset Button: Controls ARGB lighting modes or functions as a system reset button depending on motherboard connection.
  • Power Button: To power on/off your system.

ARGB Lighting Control

The pre-installed Infinity Mirroring ARGB fans offer striking visual effects. Control their lighting via the included 8+8 Pin controller. If your motherboard supports ARGB synchronization (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync, Biostar RGB Sync), connect the controller to the motherboard's 3-pin ARGB header to manage lighting through software. Otherwise, use the case's LED/Reset button to cycle through pre-set lighting modes.

Maintenance

Dust Filter Cleaning

The BitFenix CETO Basic case is equipped with magnetic dust filters on the top, bottom, and right steel panel. Regularly clean these filters to maintain optimal airflow and prevent dust buildup inside your system.

  1. Gently remove the magnetic dust filters from their respective locations.
  2. Clean the filters using compressed air, a soft brush, or by rinsing with water (ensure they are completely dry before reattaching).
  3. Reattach the magnetic filters to the case.

General Cleaning

Wipe down the exterior of the case with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish or tempered glass.

Troubleshooting

System Not Powering On

  • Ensure the power supply is properly connected to the wall outlet and the PSU switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Verify that the 24-pin ATX power cable and the CPU power cable are securely connected to the motherboard.
  • Check that the front panel power switch cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's front panel header. Refer to your motherboard manual for the correct pinout.

Fans Not Spinning or ARGB Not Lighting Up

  • Ensure the 8+8 Pin ARGB/Fan controller is receiving power via its SATA power connector from the PSU.
  • Verify that the fans are correctly connected to the controller.
  • If using motherboard software control, ensure the controller's ARGB cable is connected to the motherboard's 3-pin ARGB header and the software is installed and configured correctly.
  • If using the case's LED/Reset button for control, ensure the button's cable is connected to the controller.

Poor Airflow or High Temperatures

  • Clean the magnetic dust filters regularly as described in the Maintenance section.
  • Ensure all fans are spinning in the correct direction for optimal airflow (intake from front/bottom, exhaust from top/rear). The BitFenix CETO Basic includes both positive and reverse fans for optimized airflow.
  • Check for proper cable management to avoid obstructing airflow paths.
  • Verify that CPU cooler and GPU fans are functioning correctly.
