Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera using the provided USB Type-C cable. Connect the cable to the camera's charging port and a standard 5V USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

Note: The camera is equipped with a powerful lithium battery and supports solar charging (solar panel sold separately) to eliminate frequent manual charging.

2. App Download and Account Creation

Download the "VicoHome" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store). Follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and log in.

3. Camera Pairing

  1. Open the VicoHome app and tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
  2. Select the VicoHome CQ1 camera model.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. (Note: This camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.)
  4. Ensure your phone is close to the camera and your Wi-Fi router during the pairing process.

4. Micro SD Card Installation (Optional)

For local storage, insert a Micro SDHC card (up to 128GB) into the designated slot. Ensure the card is formatted on a computer first before inserting it into the camera for optimal performance.

5. Mounting the Camera

The VicoHome CQ1 camera can be mounted indoors or outdoors due to its IP65 waterproof rating. Choose a location that provides the desired viewing angle and has good Wi-Fi signal strength.

  1. Attach the mounting bracket to the desired surface using the provided screws.
  2. Secure the camera to the mounting bracket.
  3. Adjust the camera's angle for optimal coverage.

Operating the Camera

1. Live View and Recording

Access the VicoHome app to view live 2K HD video from your camera. You can manually initiate recordings or rely on motion-triggered recording.

2. PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) Control

The camera supports 350° horizontal pan and 115° vertical tilt. Use the VicoHome app to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle to monitor different areas.

3. Two-Way Audio

Utilize the built-in microphone and speaker for two-way communication. Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera, or listen to audio from the camera's vicinity.

4. Night Vision Modes

The camera offers both infrared (IR) night vision for black and white images in low light and color night vision for clearer, more detailed nighttime surveillance.

5. AI Motion Detection and Alarms

The upgraded PIR infrared sensor detects human motion, reducing false alarms from non-human triggers. When motion is detected, the camera can activate a loud alarm sound and flashing light to deter intruders. You will also receive instant alerts and push notifications on your smartphone.

6. Storage Options

The VicoHome CQ1 supports both cloud storage (subscription may be required) and local storage via a Micro SD card (up to 128GB).

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid extreme temperatures. If using a solar panel, ensure it is clean and receives adequate sunlight.
  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check the VicoHome app for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.

Troubleshooting
