Important Safety Information
Please read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before assembly and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.
- Ensure all parts are securely fastened before use.
- Pay attention to the maximum weight capacity of 454 kg (1000 lbs). Do not exceed this limit.
- When operating the hydraulic lift, ensure no body parts are in the path of the moving frame.
- After assembly, place the mattress on the frame and press it lightly to test the hydraulic lift's proper function. The hydraulic system requires the weight of the mattress to operate correctly.
- Keep children and pets away from the bed frame during assembly and when operating the hydraulic lift.
- Observe care instructions for the headboard fabric.

Assembly Instructions
Assembly typically requires two people and can be completed in approximately one hour. Follow the steps below carefully.
- Unpack and Organize: Lay out all components on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Group similar parts and hardware.
- Assemble the Bed Frame Base: Connect the side rails to the headboard and footboard using the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are snug but do not overtighten until all parts are aligned.
- Install the Center Support Beam: Attach the center support beam to the designated points on the headboard and footboard.
- Attach Hydraulic Lift Mechanism: Securely fasten the hydraulic lift mechanism to the bed frame according to the diagram. Ensure the pistons are correctly oriented.
- Place Slats: Insert the wooden slats into their designated holders on the bed frame and center support beam. Ensure they are evenly spaced and firmly seated.
- Final Tightening: Once all components are in place and aligned, fully tighten all screws and bolts.
- Test Hydraulic Lift: Place your mattress on the bed frame. Gently press down on the mattress to activate the hydraulic lift and ensure it moves smoothly up and down. The hydraulic system is designed to work with the weight of a mattress.

Operating the Hydraulic Lift and Storage
The VASAGLE bed frame features a hydraulic lift system for easy access to under-bed storage.
Accessing Storage:
- Ensure there are no objects on the bed that could fall or obstruct the lifting mechanism.
- Grasp the handle located at the foot of the bed frame (or side, depending on design).
- Gently lift the bed frame upwards. The hydraulic pistons will assist in lifting the mattress and frame, holding it securely in the open position.
- Place or retrieve items from the spacious storage compartment. The 31.7 cm (12.5 inches) height provides ample space for various items.
Closing the Bed Frame:
- Ensure all items are safely within the storage compartment and do not obstruct the closing mechanism.
- Grasp the handle and gently pull the bed frame downwards. The hydraulic system will control the descent, ensuring a smooth and safe closing.
- Ensure the frame is fully lowered and latched before use.

Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning the Frame: Wipe the metal and fabric surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Headboard Care: The headboard is made of linen-like fabric. For wrinkles, use a steam iron on a low setting or gently pat the fabric and allow it to rest for 48 hours.
- Hydraulic System: The hydraulic system is designed for durability and requires minimal maintenance. Do not attempt to lubricate or disassemble the pistons.
- Check Connections: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary.
- Noise Reduction: The bed frame includes sponge pads on the frame to eliminate friction noise. Ensure these pads are in place.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bed frame is wobbly or unstable. | Loose connections. | Check and tighten all screws and bolts. Ensure all parts are correctly assembled. |
| Hydraulic lift is difficult to open or close. | No mattress or insufficient mattress weight; obstruction; hydraulic piston issue. | Ensure a mattress is on the bed. The hydraulic system is designed to work with the weight of a mattress. Check for any obstructions in the mechanism. If the issue persists, contact customer support. |
| Squeaking or creaking noises. | Loose connections; missing or displaced sponge pads. | Tighten all connections. Verify that all sponge pads are correctly placed between the metal frame and slats to prevent friction. |
| Headboard wrinkles. | Packaging compression. | Use a steam iron on a low setting or gently pat the fabric and allow it to rest for 48 hours. |
