Setup
1. Powering the Safe
The safe can be powered by 4 AAA batteries (not included) or continuously via the included power cable. For optimal performance and uninterrupted power, it is recommended to keep the safe plugged in using the power cable.
2. Mounting the Safe
The VAULTEK Slider Series safe includes a proprietary mounting plate for secure installation. This plate supports standard VESA 75mm and 100mm hole patterns, allowing for various mounting configurations, such as under a desk, beside a nightstand, or within a vehicle. The safe can be quickly removed from the mounting plate by an authorized user when unlocked.
3. Setting Up the Keypad Code

Operating the Safe
1. Quick Access via Keypad
To open the safe using the keypad, simply enter your programmed 5-digit code. The backlit keys illuminate for visibility in low-light conditions. Upon correct entry, the three-point precision rail system will rapidly deploy the sliding door, presenting your firearm in a ready position.
2. Manual Key Access
In case of battery depletion or forgotten code, the safe can be opened using one of the two provided manual keys. Locate the keyhole, insert the key, and turn to unlock the safe. The door will then slide open.
3. Storing Your Firearm
The interior features a high-density foam holster designed to protect a single firearm and one spare magazine. The safe accommodates compact pistols up to full-size handguns with an overall length of 8.875 inches, including those equipped with optics. Interior LED lighting activates when the door opens, providing visibility.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The safe is powered by 4 AAA batteries. If not continuously plugged in, these batteries typically last up to one year or more. When the battery level is low, the safe will provide an indicator. To replace, open the battery compartment (refer to the quick start guide for location) and insert new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
