1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the setup, pairing, and operation of your new PZL Replacement Remote Control. This remote is designed to be compatible with various adjustable bed models, including Bed Tech BT2000, Lucid L300, Richmat HJH13D, and AMBEE21 CastleBeds.

2. Important Compatibility Notes

• This remote control is a replacement and is specifically designed for the listed models. It is not a universal remote and may not work with other brands or models of adjustable beds.
• If your original remote control has a Bluetooth icon in the lower right corner, this replacement remote may not be compatible.
• This remote control does not have a massage function. If your adjustable bed features a massage function, this remote will not operate that specific feature.
• For the Richmat HJH13D model, there are several versions. Ensure the buttons on this replacement remote match your original remote's buttons for proper functionality. If the buttons differ, this product may not be a suitable replacement.

3. Setup and Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install the batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide open the battery cover.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Replace the battery cover securely.

4. Pairing Instructions

The remote control must be paired with your adjustable bed's control box to function. Follow these general pairing steps:

General Pairing Procedure

1. Step 1: Power Check
   Ensure the adjustable bed is plugged into a working power source. Verify that there is power to the outlet.

2. Step 2: Initiate Pairing on Remote
   On the remote control, simultaneously press and hold the [Head Up] button and the [Foot Up] button.
3. Step 3: Activate Pairing on Control Box
   While still holding the [Head Up] and [Foot Up] buttons on the remote, locate the blue (round) pairing button on the cord of the bed's control box. Press and hold this blue button for approximately 3 seconds.

4. Step 4: Confirmation
   You will hear two beeps, indicating that the remote control has successfully paired with the adjustable bed. Release all buttons.
5. Step 5: Test Functions
   Press any button on the remote to test all functions and ensure proper operation.

Specific Pairing for Lucid L300

For Lucid L300 adjustable beds, the original remote is typically pre-paired. If your replacement remote or original remote is not paired, follow these steps:

1. Step 1: Battery Check
   Ensure the remote batteries are functioning correctly. Replace them if necessary.
2. Step 2: Power Connection
   Verify that the bed's power cord is securely plugged into a powered source.
3. Step 3: Pair Remote
   Press and hold the HEAD CONTROL RAISE and FOOT CONTROL RAISE buttons simultaneously on the remote. While holding these, also press and hold the blue button on the control box cord until you hear two beeps. The remote is now paired.

Emergency Note: The blue pairing button on the control box can also be used to lower the base to the flat position in case of an emergency.

5. Operation

Once paired, the remote control allows you to adjust the head and foot sections of your adjustable bed. The operational distance for the remote is approximately 8 meters.

• Head Up/Down: Adjusts the head section of the bed.

6. Troubleshooting

• Remote Not Responding:
  • Check the batteries. Ensure they are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge. Replace with new AAA batteries if necessary.
  • Ensure the bed is properly plugged into a live power outlet.
  • Re-attempt the pairing procedure as described in Section 4.
• Limited Functionality:
  • Confirm that your adjustable bed model supports all functions indicated on the remote. This remote does not support massage functions.
  • For Richmat HJH13D, ensure the remote's buttons match your original remote's layout.
• Interference:
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the bed's control box.
  • Move closer to the bed to ensure you are within the 8-meter operational range.
