6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your car stereo, follow these general maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures.
- Software Updates: Periodically check for and install available software updates to improve performance and add new features.
- Cable Connections: Ensure all cables are securely connected and free from damage.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Power Consumption Issues
If your car media player experiences power consumption issues, consider the following solutions:
- Confirm that the CANBUS and the A&B ports of the power line are connected simultaneously. Do not connect them separately.
- If the CANBUS is connected, try unplugging it to see if the same issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is related to the CANBUS.
- After turning off the engine, test whether the ACC red wire of the power supply still has electricity. If the ACC red wire still has electricity after turning off the engine, it is necessary to reconnect it separately.
- If your CANBUS is not from Simple soft, consider replacing it with a Simple soft CANBUS.

Figure 7.1: Troubleshooting power consumption with CANBUS.
7.2 General Troubleshooting Tips
- No Power: Check all power connections and fuses. Ensure the ACC wire is receiving power when the ignition is on.
- No Sound: Verify speaker connections. Check volume levels and EQ settings. Ensure the correct audio source is selected.
- Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the stereo and your phone. Try unpairing and re-pairing the devices.
- GPS Signal Loss: Ensure the GPS antenna is properly installed and has a clear view of the sky.
- Touchscreen Unresponsive: Try restarting the unit. If the issue persists, a factory reset might be necessary (note: this will erase all user data).
