2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating the scooter. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in serious injury or damage to the scooter.

• Always wear a helmet and appropriate protective gear (knee pads, elbow pads, gloves) when riding.
• Familiarize yourself with local laws and regulations regarding electric scooter use.

4. Setup and Assembly

Your EFGBIKE ES09 scooter comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the setup:

4.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the scooter and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any visible damage during transit. Remove all protective wrapping.

4.2 Unfolding the Scooter

• Place the folded scooter on a flat, stable surface.
• Locate the folding mechanism latch, typically near the base of the steering column.
• Release the latch and carefully lift the steering column until it locks into the upright position. Ensure it clicks securely.

4.3 Attaching the Handlebars

• Align the handlebars with the top of the steering column.
• Secure the handlebars using the provided bolts and the multi-tool. Tighten evenly to ensure stability.
• Connect any visible cables from the handlebars to the main body, ensuring they are properly seated and secured.

4.4 Attaching the Detachable Seat (Optional)

• Insert the seat post into the designated slot on the scooter's deck.
• Adjust the seat height to your preference and tighten the quick-release clamp or bolts to secure it.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

• Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position. The LCD display will illuminate.
• To power off, turn the key to the OFF position.

The LCD display provides real-time information:

• Speed: Current riding speed (MPH).
• Battery Level: Indicates remaining battery charge.
• Mileage (ODO/TRIP): Total distance traveled or trip distance.
• Speed Modes: Typically 3 modes (1, 2, 3) for different speed limits. Use the mode button to switch.

5.3 Riding the Scooter

• Place one foot on the deck and push off with the other foot to gain initial momentum.
• Gently press the throttle lever to accelerate.
• To slow down or stop, release the throttle and apply the hydraulic disc brakes.

5.4 Lighting System

The ES09 features a 360° lighting system for enhanced visibility:

• Dual Headlights: Turn on for front illumination.

5.5 Folding for Storage/Transport

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Charging

The scooter is equipped with a 60V 30Ah lithium-ion battery. Use only the provided charger.

• Connect the charger to the scooter's charging port.
• Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
• The charger indicator light will show charging status (usually red for charging, green for fully charged).
• Do not overcharge the battery. Disconnect once fully charged.
• Store the scooter in a cool, dry place when not in use, and charge the battery periodically if stored for long periods.
