4. Setup
Before charging, ensure your vehicle is parked safely and the ignition is off.
- Inspect the Cable: Uncoil the charging cable and visually inspect both connectors and the cable length for any signs of damage, cuts, or foreign objects.
- Prepare Vehicle and Charging Station: Ensure the vehicle's charging port and the charging station's outlet are clean and free from moisture or debris.
- Connect to Charging Station: Insert the male Type 2 connector of the cable firmly into the charging station's outlet. Ensure it clicks into place.
- Connect to Vehicle: Insert the female Type 2 connector of the cable firmly into your vehicle's charging port. Ensure it clicks into place and is securely locked by the vehicle's locking mechanism (if applicable).

5. Operating Instructions
Once the cable is securely connected to both the charging station and your vehicle:
- Initiate Charging: Follow the instructions on your charging station or vehicle's infotainment system to start the charging process. This may involve swiping a card, using an app, or pressing a button.
- Monitor Charging: The vehicle's dashboard or the charging station's display will indicate the charging status. Ensure the charging process has begun successfully.
- Disconnecting: To stop charging, first follow the procedure on your charging station or vehicle to end the session. Once the charging session is terminated and the cable is unlocked by the vehicle, disconnect the female Type 2 connector from your vehicle. Then, disconnect the male Type 2 connector from the charging station.
- Store Cable: Coil the cable neatly and store it in the provided carrying bag to protect it from damage and dirt.

6. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your charging cable.
- Cleaning: Use the provided microfiber towel or a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the cable and connectors regularly. If necessary, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure all parts are completely dry before storage or next use. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the cable in its carrying bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid kinking or bending the cable sharply.
- Inspection: Periodically check the cable for any signs of wear, such as cracks in the insulation, bent pins in the connectors, or loose connections.
- Durability: The cable is designed for robustness, withstanding significant pressure and impact. It is also IP55 rated for water and dust resistance, allowing for safe charging in various weather conditions.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during charging, try the following steps:
- Charging Not Starting:
- Ensure both ends of the cable are securely connected.
- Check the charging station for error messages or status indicators.
- Verify that your vehicle's charging port is not locked or obstructed.
- Try restarting the charging session at the station or through your vehicle's controls.
- Slow Charging:
- Confirm that the charging station is providing the expected power output (e.g., 22kW).
- Check your vehicle's settings; some EVs allow you to limit charging speed.
- Ensure the cable is fully capable of the desired power (this bokman cable supports up to 22kW).
- Cable Not Disconnecting:
- Ensure the charging session has been properly terminated at the station or via your vehicle.
- Some vehicles have a manual release mechanism for the charging cable. Consult your vehicle's manual.
If the problem persists, contact your charging station provider or bokman customer support.
