7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your charger, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Charger not powering onNo power from outlet, loose connection, internal fault.Check the wall outlet with another device. Ensure the plug is fully inserted. Try a different outlet. If problem persists, contact support.
Vehicle not chargingJ1772 connector not fully inserted, vehicle charging port issue, scheduled charging active, charger fault.Ensure the J1772 connector is securely latched. Check your vehicle's charging status. Verify no charging schedule is active on the charger. Disconnect and reconnect.
Red LED indicator / Error message on LCDOver-current, over-voltage, over-temperature, ground fault, or other internal error.Disconnect the charger from both the wall and the vehicle. Wait a few minutes, then reconnect. If the error persists, note any error codes on the display and contact customer support.
Slow charging speedUsing NEMA 5-15 adapter (Level 1), low amperage setting, vehicle limitation.Ensure you are using a 240V NEMA 6-20 outlet for Level 2 charging. Check the amperage setting on the charger and adjust to a higher value if your circuit supports it. Consult your vehicle's manual for charging specifications.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact bokman customer support for further assistance.
