Installation Guide
Follow these steps for proper installation of your CIEVIE Dash Cam:
- Prepare the Windshield: Clean the area on your windshield where you plan to attach the dash cam. Ensure it is free of dirt and bubbles.
- Apply Electrostatic Sticker: Apply the electrostatic sticker to the cleaned area. This helps secure the camera more stably and allows for easier removal without residue.
- Mount the Front Camera: Attach the front camera to the electrostatic sticker. The rotatable bracket allows you to adjust the angle for optimal viewing (up to 290°).
- Install the Rear Camera: Mount the rear camera inside your car, typically on the rear windshield. It supports 360° rotation for full coverage. Connect the rear camera cable to the main front camera unit.
- Connect Power: Plug the car charger adapter into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Connect the USB-C end of the power cable to the front dash cam.
- Route Cables: Use the included pry tool and cable clips to neatly tuck away the power and rear camera cables along the vehicle's trim and headliner.

Operating Instructions
The CIEVIE Dash Cam is designed for simple operation, primarily controlled via its dedicated smartphone app.
Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: The dash cam automatically powers on and begins recording when your vehicle starts, and powers off when the ignition is turned off (if connected to a switched power source).
- Recording: Continuous loop recording ensures that you never run out of storage space. Older files are automatically overwritten by new footage.
- G-Sensor: In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor will automatically detect the event and lock the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten.
- Parking Mode: For 24/7 parking surveillance, a hardwire kit (sold separately) is required to provide continuous power to the dash cam. In parking mode, the camera will record if it detects motion or impact around your vehicle.
Loop recording ensures continuous footage by overwriting the oldest files when the SD card is full.
The front camera can rotate up to 290 degrees, and the rear camera up to 360 degrees, for flexible viewing angles.
App Control & Wi-Fi Connectivity
The CIEVIE Dash Cam connects to your smartphone via 5.8GHz Wi-Fi for seamless control and data transfer. Download the GKU GO app from your app store.
- Live View: Access a real-time view from your dash cam on your smartphone.
- Video Playback & Download: Browse recorded videos, play them back, and download important clips directly to your phone.
- Settings Management: Adjust various camera settings, including video resolution, loop recording duration, and G-sensor sensitivity.
- Sharing: Easily share your travel moments or incident footage with others or insurance companies.
The 5.8GHz Wi-Fi enables fast and seamless data transfer and app control.

Maintenance and Care
- SD Card Formatting: It is recommended to format the SD card regularly (e.g., once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can typically be done through the dash cam's app settings.
- Temperature Resistance: The dash cam is powered by a super capacitor, allowing it to withstand extreme temperatures from -20℃ to 70℃ (-4°F to 158°F). This makes it suitable for various climates.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and screen with a soft, lint-free cloth to maintain clear image quality. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
The dash cam is designed to operate reliably in a wide range of temperatures.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your CIEVIE Dash Cam, please refer to the following common solutions or contact customer support.
- Camera not powering on: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the car's power outlet. Check the vehicle's cigarette lighter fuse.
- Wi-Fi connection issues: Ensure the dash cam is powered on and Wi-Fi is enabled. Try restarting both the dash cam and your smartphone. Make sure you are within range of the dash cam's Wi-Fi signal.
- Recording stops unexpectedly: Format the SD card. Ensure the SD card is a high-speed card (Class 10 or U3 recommended) and not full.
- Poor video quality: Clean the camera lens. Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lens. Check video resolution settings in the app.
