The motor features an adjustable depth collar on the cast aluminum alloy shaft. Loosen the collar, adjust the motor to the desired depth, and then securely tighten the collar to prevent movement during operation.

3.3. Stow and Deploy

To deploy the motor, release the latch and carefully lower the motor into the water. To stow, lift the motor out of the water and secure it in the stowed position using the lift handle and latch mechanism.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Propeller Care

Regularly inspect the propeller for weeds, fishing line, or damage. Clean the propeller after each use, especially in weedy areas. Replace damaged propellers immediately to maintain efficiency and prevent further motor damage.

4.2. Shaft and Motor Housing

After each use, especially in saltwater, rinse the shaft and motor housing with fresh water to remove salt and debris. Inspect for any signs of corrosion or wear. Apply a marine-grade protective spray if necessary.

4.3. Battery Maintenance

Ensure your 12V deep cycle battery is properly charged before each outing. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use and keep terminals clean and free of corrosion.
