3. Setup and Connection
3.1 Connecting to RIVER 3 Plus
The EB600 extra battery is designed for seamless integration with the RIVER 3 Plus Portable Power Station using Pogo Pin technology. This allows for a cable-free connection.
- Ensure both the RIVER 3 Plus and the EB600 are powered off.
- Remove the protective rubber covers from the expansion port on the RIVER 3 Plus and the corresponding connection area on the EB600.
- Align the RIVER 3 Plus directly on top of the EB600, ensuring the Pogo Pins connect securely. The units should click into place without the need for additional cables or screws.
- Once connected, the combined unit will function as a single power station with increased capacity.

3.2 Initial Charging

4.1 Expanded Capacity with RIVER 3 Plus
When connected to the RIVER 3 Plus, the EB600 expands the total energy storage to 858Wh (286Wh from RIVER 3 Plus + 572Wh from EB600). This allows for extended operation of various devices.

4.2 Independent Use
The EB600 can be used independently without the RIVER 3 Plus. It features a built-in 140W USB-C port for both charging small devices and recharging the battery itself.

4.3 Charging Methods
The EB600 offers flexible charging options:
- Direct USB-C Charging: Use the built-in 140W USB-C port to recharge the EB600 independently. A full charge from 0-100% takes approximately 7 hours.
- Via RIVER 3 Plus (AC Outlet): When connected to the RIVER 3 Plus, the combined unit can be charged via an AC wall outlet. A full charge from 0-100% takes approximately 2.3 hours.
- Via RIVER 3 Plus (Solar): When connected to the RIVER 3 Plus, the combined unit can be charged using compatible solar panels. A full charge from 0-100% takes approximately 4.8 hours with a 220W solar input.
- Via RIVER 3 Plus (Car Charger): When connected to the RIVER 3 Plus, the combined unit can be charged using a car charger. A full charge from 0-100% takes approximately 9.8 hours with a 220W input.

5.1 Battery Lifespan and Care
The EB600 utilizes LiFePO4 (LFP) battery chemistry, providing a long lifespan of over 3000 charge cycles, equivalent to approximately 10 years of daily use. To maximize battery life:
- Avoid storing the battery at extremely high or low temperatures.
- For long-term storage, maintain a charge level between 30% and 80%.
- Recharge the battery at least once every 3-6 months if not in regular use.

5.2 Cleaning

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your EB600, consider the following:
- Device Not Powering On: Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds.
- Not Charging: Verify that the charging cable and power source are functioning correctly. If connected to the RIVER 3 Plus, ensure the connection is secure.
- Overheating: If the unit feels excessively hot, disconnect it from all power sources and devices, and allow it to cool down in a well-ventilated area. The X-Guard protection system should prevent damage.
- Connection Issues with RIVER 3 Plus: Re-check the Pogo Pin connection. Ensure no debris is obstructing the pins.
