1. Introduction

The ieGeek S1 Pro is an advanced 5MP solar-powered wireless outdoor security camera designed for home surveillance. It features an integrated solar panel for continuous power, AI motion detection, color night vision, and two-way audio communication. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your camera.

3. Installation

The ieGeek S1 Pro is designed for easy, wire-free installation. Choose a location with ample sunlight for the integrated solar panel and a stable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal.

Mounting the Camera:

1. Select a suitable mounting location. The camera is designed for outdoor use and can withstand various weather conditions.
2. Use the provided mounting template to mark the drill holes.
3. Drill the holes and insert the wall plugs if mounting on masonry.
4. Secure the mounting base to the wall using the provided screws.
5. Attach the camera to the mounting base. Adjust the camera angle to ensure optimal viewing and solar panel exposure.

4. Operation

4.1 Powering On and Initial Setup

The camera is powered by an internal battery continuously charged by the integrated solar panel. Ensure the camera is fully charged before initial use, or place it in direct sunlight for a few hours.

4.2 Connecting to Wi-Fi

The ieGeek S1 Pro connects via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Download the 'ieGeek Cam' app (or 'CloudEdge' app) from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to add your camera and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. Avoid installing the camera in corners, load-bearing walls, or near large appliances that may interfere with the signal.

4.3 AI Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera features advanced PIR motion detection with a human shape database to accurately identify people. When motion is detected, you will receive instant notifications on your ieGeek Cam app.

4.4 Two-Way Audio

Utilize the two-way audio feature to communicate with visitors or deter intruders directly through the app. The camera is equipped with a speaker and microphone for clear communication.

4.5 Night Vision and Spotlight

The camera provides clear vision even in total darkness. Bright spotlights can be activated to reveal details in color night vision. You can also activate a siren to deter intruders. The video in Section 3.1 demonstrates the alarm sound and LED test.

4.6 Storage Options

Recordings can be stored locally on a Micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included) or via the complimentary lifetime ieGeek cloud storage basic service (6-second recordings with a 7-day looping coverage). There are no hidden fees associated with the basic cloud storage.

5. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your ieGeek S1 Pro camera, regular maintenance is recommended:

• Clean the Lens and Solar Panel: Periodically wipe the camera lens and solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris that may obstruct vision or reduce charging efficiency.
• Check Mounting Security: Ensure the camera remains securely mounted to prevent accidental falls or misalignment.
• Monitor Battery Level: While solar-powered, check the battery level in the app occasionally, especially during prolonged periods of low sunlight, to ensure continuous operation.
• Software Updates: Keep the ieGeek Cam app updated to the latest version to benefit from new features and security enhancements.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ieGeek S1 Pro camera, try the following common troubleshooting steps:

• No Power/Low Battery: Ensure the solar panel is receiving adequate direct sunlight. If necessary, charge the camera using the provided Type-C cable.
• Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues: Verify your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Move the camera closer to the router or consider a Wi-Fi extender if the signal is weak. Avoid physical obstructions like thick walls.
• Motion Detection Not Working: Check the motion detection settings in the ieGeek Cam app. Adjust sensitivity and detection zones. Ensure there are no obstructions in the camera's field of view.
• Poor Image Quality: Clean the camera lens. Ensure there is sufficient lighting, especially for color night vision.
• Alarm/Spotlight Not Activating: Check the settings in the app to ensure these features are enabled and configured correctly.
• App Not Responding: Close and restart the ieGeek Cam app. If the issue persists, reinstall the app.
