It features versatile connectivity options including Bluetooth 5.1, USB, TF/SD card, AUX, and FM radio, along with a UHF wireless microphone for karaoke. Its rugged design and rechargeable battery ensure portability and extended use.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Power Source: Use only the specified power adapter and voltage. Ensure the power outlet matches the speaker's requirements.
  • Water and Moisture: Do not expose the speaker to rain, moisture, or any liquids. Avoid placing objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on or near the speaker.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the speaker. Do not block any ventilation openings.
  • Heat: Keep the speaker away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  • Cleaning: Disconnect the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.

Control Panel Features:

  • Power Switch: Turns the speaker on or off.

5. Setup

5.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the speaker for approximately 6-8 hours. Connect the power cable to the speaker's power input and then to a standard AC outlet (110-240V, 50-60Hz). The charging indicator will illuminate during charging and turn off or change color when fully charged.

5.2 Powering On/Off

Locate the Power Switch on the control panel. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to power on the speaker. The display screen will light up. To power off, flip the switch to the 'OFF' position.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Power on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth mode, or you can press the 'Mode' button until 'BLUE' appears on the display.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
  3. Search for available Bluetooth devices. You should see 'Dolphin SP-5500RBT' in the list.
  4. Select 'Dolphin SP-5500RBT' to pair. A confirmation tone will sound once connected.
  5. You can now play audio from your device through the speaker.

6.2 WaveSync Technology (TWS - True Wireless Stereo)

The TWS function allows you to connect two Dolphin SP-5500RBT speakers wirelessly for a stereo sound experience.

  1. Ensure both SP-5500RBT speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode, but not yet paired to any mobile device.
  2. On one of the speakers (this will be your primary speaker), press and hold the 'TWS' button (refer to Figure 4.2 for location). The display will show 'TWS' and begin searching.
  3. The primary speaker will automatically connect to the secondary speaker. A confirmation tone will sound once TWS pairing is successful.
  4. Now, pair your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in Section 6.1. Audio will play in stereo through both speakers.
  5. To disconnect TWS, press the 'TWS' button on either speaker again.

6.3 USB/SD Card Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive or TF/SD card into the corresponding port/slot on the control panel.
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to USB/SD mode and begin playing audio files. If not, press the 'Mode' button to select USB or SD mode.
  3. Use the 'Play/Pause', 'Previous Track', and 'Next Track' buttons to control playback.

6.4 AUX Input

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop) to the 'AUX' input jack on the speaker using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
  2. Press the 'Mode' button until 'AUX' appears on the display.
  3. Control playback and volume from your external device.

6.5 FM Radio

  1. Press the 'Mode' button until 'FM' appears on the display.
  2. Press and hold the 'Play/Pause' button to initiate an automatic scan for FM stations. The speaker will save detected stations.
  3. Use the 'Previous Track' and 'Next Track' buttons to navigate between saved FM stations.

6.6 Karaoke Function (Wireless Microphone)

  1. Ensure the wireless microphone is powered on and has fresh batteries.
  2. The microphone should automatically connect to the speaker.
  3. Adjust the 'Mic Volume' knob on the speaker's control panel to your desired level.
  4. Use the 'Echo' and 'Delay' knobs to add vocal effects.

6.7 LED Light Show

The speaker features dynamic LED lights around the woofers. Press the 'LED' button (if available, or refer to remote control) to cycle through different light modes or turn them off. The lights often synchronize with the music.

6.8 X-BASS and Equalizer

  • X-BASS: Press the 'X-BASS' button to activate or deactivate the enhanced bass feature. This provides a deeper, more resonant bass response.
  • 6-Band Equalizer: Use the individual sliders on the equalizer to fine-tune the audio output. Adjusting these sliders allows you to boost or cut specific frequency ranges (e.g., bass, midrange, treble) to match your preference or the acoustics of your environment.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Always disconnect the speaker from the power source before cleaning. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish. Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the speaker.

7.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to charge the battery fully every 3-6 months to maintain its lifespan.

7.3 Battery Care

The speaker uses a rechargeable lead-acid battery. To maximize battery life:

  • Avoid completely draining the battery frequently.
  • Charge the battery fully before long storage periods.
  • Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 45°C (113°F) or below 0°C (32°F).

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your speaker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
