Overview
This manual provides instructions for operating the Dolphin SP-2100RBT portable speaker. Please read carefully to ensure proper use and to get the most out of the device.
Control Panel Description
The top panel of the speaker features various controls and inputs:
- 1. Power Button: Use this switch to turn the unit on or off.
- 2. LED Light Switch: Use this switch to turn the unit's LED lights on or off.
- 3. Power Input: Connect the included power cable to a 110-240V wall outlet.
- 4. FM Antenna: Extend this antenna to improve radio signal reception.
- 5. USB/SD/TF Card Ports: Slots for inserting USB drives, SD cards, or TF cards for media playback.
- 6. Volume: Controls the overall music volume for the main channel.
- 7. X-BASS: Enhances the bass of the music playing on the main channel using X-BASS technology.
- 8. Microphone Sound Controls (Channel 2): These dials control the audio from the "MIC IN" jack, which can be used simultaneously with the main channel and Channel 3.
- M.Echo: Adjusts the echo effect.
- M.Bass: Controls the volume of low-frequency sound for microphones.
- M.Treble: Controls the volume of high-frequency sound for microphones.
- M.Vol: Controls the overall microphone volume.
- 9. Guitar Volume Control (Channel 3): Controls the volume for the "GUITAR IN" input. This channel operates simultaneously with the main channel and Channel 2.
- 10. MIC Priority: When activated, this function reduces the main channel music volume by 50% when you sing or talk into the microphone.
- 11. Guitar In (Channel 3): Use a 1/4" cable to connect a guitar or other audio source.
- 12. Mic In (Channel 2): Use a 1/4" cable to connect a microphone or other audio source.
- 13. Main Channel Controls:
- MODE: Switches between input modes (Bluetooth, FM Radio, Auxiliary, USB, SD, TF).
- WaveSync: Refer to the next page for instructions on wirelessly pairing two speakers for increased power.
- REPE: Repeats the current track playing from USB, SD, or TF Card.
- PLAY: Press to play or pause music from Bluetooth, USB, or SD. In FM Mode, hold to scan for stations.
- PREV/NEXT: Skip songs on Bluetooth, USB, SD, or TF card, or switch radio stations in FM mode.
- USB/SD/TF: Insert a media card; the speaker will automatically find and play MP3 tracks.
- 14. Graphic Equalizer: Personalize sound by adjusting frequencies. The right side controls bass (low end), and the left side controls treble (high end).
- 15. External Battery Input: Use the next page's instructions to connect an external battery for extended playback time.
- 16. Auxiliary/Line Input: Play music from an auxiliary device using an RCA cable when the main channel is in AUX mode.
Connectivity and Playback
Bluetooth Connection
To connect a Bluetooth device:
- Press the MODE button until the unit is in Bluetooth mode.
- On your phone, enable Bluetooth and search for "SP-2100RBT".
- Once connected, the LCD display will confirm. You can now play music from your Bluetooth device. If a PIN is required, enter "0000".
The wireless range for Bluetooth is approximately 33 feet (10 meters). Distances beyond this may cause audio interruptions.
WaveSync™ Technology
To connect two speakers wirelessly for double the power:
- Ensure you have two matching Dolphin SP-2100RBT speakers.
- Turn on both speakers and set them to Bluetooth mode.
- Pair one speaker with your Bluetooth device using the Bluetooth connection steps above.
- On both speakers, press and hold the WaveSync™ button simultaneously until you hear a beep, confirming the connection.
Music played via Bluetooth will now play on both connected speakers. This feature only works for Bluetooth audio and does not transfer audio from AUX, USB, or FM Radio inputs. To disconnect, press the WaveSync™ button on either speaker.
NOTE: WaveSync compatibility may vary with different model versions. Consult your dealer for details.
USB/TF MP3 Function
To play MP3 files:
- Place your MP3 song files in the root folder of a USB or SD card.
- Insert the card into the appropriate port; the speaker will automatically play the songs.
- Use the PREV/NEXT buttons to skip tracks.
FM Radio
To listen to FM radio stations:
- Press the MODE button until you are in Radio mode.
- Hold the PLAY button to scan for nearby radio stations.
- Use the PREV/NEXT buttons to switch between scanned stations.
Additional Features
Auxiliary/Line Input
To play music from an auxiliary device:
- Connect a 3.5mm AUX cable or RCA cable from your audio device to the speaker's AUX port.
- Press the MODE button to enter AUX mode.
- Adjust the volume on both your audio device and the speaker.
Accessories
The box typically includes a wired microphone, power cable, remote control, and this user manual. If any items are missing, please contact your dealer.
Battery and Charging Instructions
- To charge the battery, connect the speaker to a wall outlet using the power cable.
- For optimal battery lifespan, fully charge the battery before first use.
- The unit takes approximately 6 hours for a full charge. Charging begins automatically when the power cable is connected.
- To maximize battery life, recharge the battery at least once every 3 months.
- Use the power switch to turn off the unit when not in use.
Expandable Battery Instructions
To extend playback time, you can connect a secondary battery:
- Acquire a 12V battery (capacity can vary). The speaker's internal battery is 7000mAh (7Ah).
- Obtain a red and black battery connector cable. Locate the external battery input on the back of the speaker.
- Insert the exposed end of the red wire into the red clamp of the external battery input, and the black wire into the black clamp.
- Connect the red clamp to the positive terminal of the external battery and the black clamp to the negative terminal.
- Charge the speaker as usual. The battery indicator light will turn green when both batteries are fully charged.
Warning: Exposed metal from clamps or wires can get hot. Do not use this function around children or flammable objects.
