1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your BILT HARD 46cc 4-Cycle Gas Powered Tiller Cultivator. This powerful tool is designed for breaking through hard soil, preparing seedbeds, plowing, tilling, ditching, and weeding in various environments such as farms, orchards, and gardens. Its 46cc 4-stroke engine delivers 1,400W peak power, ensuring consistent performance with low vibration and emissions. The tiller features 6 steel forward-rotating blades and 4 angled tines for efficient soil aeration and mixing, achieving a 16-inch working width and 8-inch tilling depth.

3.4 Fuel and Oil Filling
This is a 4-cycle engine, meaning it uses a no-mix fuel system. Fill the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline and the oil tank with appropriate 4-cycle engine oil separately. Refer to the engine manual for specific oil type and capacity. Ensure both caps are securely tightened after filling.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Starting the Engine
The tiller is equipped with an automatic reset choke lever and compression release system for quick and easy startup. Push the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible. Set the choke lever to the "Choke" position. Pull the starter grip and rope firmly until the engine starts. Once started, gradually move the choke lever to the "Run" position.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your tiller.
- Engine Oil: Check engine oil level before each use and change according to the engine manual's schedule. Use SAE 80W 90 gear oil (EP grade) for the turbine/gearbox assembly.
- Air Filter: Clean or replace the air filter regularly, especially in dusty conditions.
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug periodically. Replace if worn.
- Tines: Inspect tines for wear or damage. Replace worn tines to maintain tilling efficiency. Remove any debris or tangled vegetation from the tines after each use.
- Storage: For convenient storage, the handles are foldable, saving space. Ensure the fuel tank is empty and the engine is clean before long-term storage.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your tiller, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Engine Not Starting:
- Check fuel level and ensure fresh gasoline is used.
- Verify oil level.
- Ensure the choke is set correctly for starting.
- Check the spark plug for fouling or damage.
- Loss of Power:
- Clean or replace the air filter.
- Check for debris tangled in the tines.
- Ensure proper fuel and oil mixture (if applicable, though this is a 4-cycle engine).
- Excessive Vibration:
- Inspect tines for damage or imbalance.
