3. Setup and Assembly
Assembly typically takes 15-30 minutes. Follow these general steps for proper setup:

- Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled chair base.
- Attach Mechanism Plate to Seat: Secure the mechanism plate to the underside of the seat cushion using the provided screws. Ensure the front of the mechanism faces the front of the seat.

- Connect Seat to Backrest: Align the seat cushion with the backrest and secure them together with the remaining screws. Once all screws are in place, tighten them securely.

4. Operating Instructions
Your FDW office chair offers several adjustable features for personalized comfort:
- Height Adjustment: To raise the seat, lift the lever located under the right side of the seat while taking your weight off the chair. To lower the seat, lift the lever while seated. Release the lever at the desired height.
- Recline/Rocking Function: Pull the lever on the right side of the chair (the same lever for height adjustment) outwards to unlock the rocking mechanism. Push it inwards to lock the chair in an upright position.
- Tilt Tension: The round knob located under the front of the seat allows you to adjust the tension of the rocking mechanism. Turn clockwise to increase tension (making it harder to recline) and counter-clockwise to decrease tension (making it easier to recline).
- 360-Degree Swivel: The chair is designed to swivel 360 degrees, allowing for easy movement and access to different areas of your workspace without needing to stand up.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps prolong the life and performance of your office chair:
- Cleaning: For faux leather surfaces, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and immediately wipe dry. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Check Fasteners: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary to maintain stability and prevent squeaking.
- Caster Care: Keep casters clean by removing any hair or debris that may accumulate around them. This ensures smooth rolling.
- Gas Lift: The gas lift is a sealed unit and requires no user maintenance. If it fails to function, contact customer support.
6. Troubleshooting
Refer to the following common issues and solutions:
- Chair is unstable or wobbly:
- Ensure all assembly screws are securely tightened.
- Verify that the gas lift is properly seated in the base and mechanism plate.
- Chair squeaks:
- Tighten all screws, especially those connecting the seat, backrest, and armrests.
- Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to moving parts if the squeaking persists after tightening.
- Height adjustment not working:
- Check if the height adjustment lever is fully engaged.
- Ensure the gas lift cylinder is not damaged. If it is, contact customer support for replacement.
- Casters not rolling smoothly:
- Remove any hair, dust, or debris from the caster wheels.
- Ensure casters are fully inserted into the chair base.
