3. Setup

3.1. Compatibility

This Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is designed for use with Mac models featuring Apple Silicon. Ensure your Mac meets this requirement for full functionality, including Touch ID.

3.2. Initial Pairing and Connection

1. Connect one end of the included USB-C Charge Cable to the USB-C port on the back edge of your Magic Keyboard.
2. Connect the other end of the USB-C Charge Cable to a USB-C port on your Mac.
3. Turn on the Magic Keyboard using the power switch located on the back edge.
4. Your Mac should automatically detect and pair with the Magic Keyboard. A notification will appear on your screen confirming the connection.
5. Once paired, you can disconnect the USB-C cable to use the keyboard wirelessly via Bluetooth. The keyboard will remain paired.
