4. Setup

4.1. Installing the Battery

1. Open the battery compartment cover, typically located on the bottom or side of the camcorder. Ensure the cover is unlocked if it has a locking mechanism.
2. Insert the provided Lithium battery, aligning it according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place. For waterproof performance, ensure the cover is fully sealed and locked.

4.2. Charging the Battery

1. Connect the camcorder to a power source using the supplied USB cable.
2. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Charging typically takes several hours.
3. Once fully charged, the indicator light may change color or turn off. Disconnect the USB cable.

4.3. Inserting a Memory Card (Not Included)

The camcorder requires a compatible SD card (not included) to store videos and photos. Ensure the card is formatted before first use.

1. Locate the memory card slot, usually near the battery compartment or under a protective flap.
2. Insert the SD card with the metal contacts facing the correct direction, gently pushing until it clicks into place.
3. Close the protective flap securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Open the LCD screen or press the Power button.
• To Power Off: Close the LCD screen or press and hold the Power button for a few seconds.

5.2. Selecting Recording Modes

Press the 'MODE' button to switch between Video Recording Mode and Photo Capture Mode. The current mode will be displayed on the LCD screen.

5.3. Recording Video

1. Ensure the camcorder is in Video Recording Mode.
2. Frame your shot using the 3-inch articulated LCD screen.
3. Press the 'RECORD' button (usually marked with a red dot) to start recording. A red indicator or timer will appear on the screen.
4. Press the 'RECORD' button again to stop recording.

5.4. Taking Photos

1. Ensure the camcorder is in Photo Capture Mode.
2. Frame your shot using the LCD screen.
3. Press the 'PHOTO' button (often marked with a camera icon) to capture an image.

5.5. Using Digital Zoom

Use the 'W' (Wide) and 'T' (Telephoto) buttons, typically located near the top or side of the camcorder, to adjust the 18x digital zoom. Press 'T' to zoom in and 'W' to zoom out.

5.6. Waterproof Operation

Important: Before using the camcorder underwater, ensure all covers (battery, memory card, USB/HDMI ports) are securely closed and locked. Failure to do so will result in water damage and void the warranty.

• The camcorder is waterproof up to 5 meters (16 feet). Do not exceed this depth.
• After underwater use, rinse the camcorder with fresh water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth before opening any compartments.

5.7. Connecting to a Computer

Use the supplied USB cable to connect the camcorder to your computer. The camcorder will appear as a removable disk, allowing you to transfer your video and photo files.
