Before first use, ensure the dishwasher is correctly set up.
4.1 Placement
Place the dishwasher on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for ventilation and access to connections.
4.2 Water Connection Options
The DWT20 offers two methods for water supply:
- Fixed Water Connection: Connect the water inlet hose to a cold water tap and the drain hose to a suitable drain. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.
- Manual Water Filling: If a fixed connection is not available, you can manually fill the internal water tank. Open the water tank inlet on top of the dishwasher and pour in approximately 5.4 liters of water until the indicator signals it is full. It is recommended to use warm water for manual filling to reduce the appliance's heating time and energy consumption.

4.3 Initial Use Preparation
- Add Dishwasher Salt: Unscrew the cap of the salt container (usually located at the bottom of the wash tub) and fill it with dishwasher salt. This helps soften hard water and prevent limescale buildup.
- Fill Rinse Aid Dispenser: Open the rinse aid dispenser and fill it with rinse aid. Rinse aid helps with drying and prevents water spots.
- Load Detergent: Place a dishwasher tablet or appropriate amount of powder/gel detergent into the detergent dispenser.
