Important: If your package does not include the rear audio output harness (RL & RR) and 16P->20P wiring, you can connect an external amplifier by connecting the RCA connector of FL & FR. 3. Physical Installation

The ATOTO S8 Ultra is designed for universal double DIN installation. Use the provided mounting brackets and frame to secure the head unit in your vehicle's dashboard.

Operating Instructions

1. Initial Power On and System Setup

After installation, turn on your vehicle's ignition. The ATOTO S8 Ultra will boot up. The initial boot time may vary. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup, including language selection and network configuration.

The system features ATOTO AICE UI 11.0 based on Android, offering a highly customizable interface. App startup is fast, and navigation is smooth.

2. Touch Screen Operation

The 7-inch QLED display supports 5-point multi-touch. Use gestures like pinch-to-zoom, swipe, and scroll for navigation and control. The flat panel design ensures comfortable operation across the entire screen.

3. AI Voice Control (DriveChat)

The DriveChat application, powered by ChatGPT, allows for natural language voice interaction. To activate, set a wake-up word in the S8 Ultra settings. This feature enhances driving safety by allowing hands-free control.

Connectivity

1. Internet Access Options

The S8 Ultra offers four methods for internet connectivity:

  • Built-in 4G LTE Module: Insert a micro-SIM card (not included) into the dedicated slot for direct 4G LTE access. Supports various frequency bands (2G: GSM850, GSM900, GSM1900; 3G WCDMA: B1, B2, B4, B5, B8; 4G LTE: B1, B2, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B13, B17, B19, B25, B26, B38, B41).
  • Wi-Fi Hotspot: Connect to your smartphone's Wi-Fi hotspot (2.4GHz & 5GHz) for internet access.
  • Bluetooth Tethering: Share your smartphone's data connection via Bluetooth. This method consumes less power from your phone compared to Wi-Fi tethering.
  • USB Tethering: Share your smartphone's data via a USB connection. This can also provide a light charge to your phone.

2. Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

The S8 Ultra supports both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This allows seamless integration of your smartphone for navigation, calls, messages, and music.

3. MirrorLink (CarbitLink)

For applications not supported by CarPlay or Android Auto, the CarbitLink app provides a MirrorLink function, allowing you to mirror your smartphone screen onto the head unit display via USB or Wi-Fi.

4. Dual Bluetooth

The unit features dual Bluetooth chips. Bluetooth 1 (BT1) supports SBC and AAC codecs, and protocols like HFP/HSP/A2DP/AVRCP/PBAP for hands-free calls and audio streaming. Bluetooth 2 (BT2) is dedicated to connecting peripherals like OBDII scanners or steering wheel controls.

1. Digital Sound Processor (DSP)
