Power Source Options
The doorbell can be powered by its internal rechargeable battery for a completely wireless setup, or it can be hardwired to your existing doorbell wiring for continuous power, eliminating the need for periodic recharging.

Initial Setup and App Connection
To begin using your doorbell, download the Swann Security app on your smartphone or tablet. Follow the in-app instructions to pair the doorbell with your device and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. Please note that the doorbell is compatible with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks only.

Live View and Two-Way Talk

Troubleshooting
- Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz. The doorbell does not support 5 GHz networks. Try moving the doorbell closer to your router or using a Wi-Fi extender if signal strength is weak.
- Excessive Notifications: Adjust the motion detection sensitivity settings within the Swann Security app. Utilize the custom activity zones feature to exclude areas that trigger frequent, irrelevant alerts (e.g., busy streets).
- Doorbell Hum (Wired Installation): If your existing indoor chime hums after wiring the doorbell, it may be due to electrical current. In some cases, disconnecting or bypassing the original indoor chime may resolve this issue. The portable chime unit included with the doorbell will still function.
- Poor Video Quality: Check your Wi-Fi connection speed. Ensure the doorbell lens is clean and free from obstructions.
- Two-Way Talk Audio Issues: Ensure your microphone and speaker permissions are enabled for the Swann Security app on your smartphone. Check for any physical obstructions around the doorbell's microphone or speaker.
