3. Safety Instructions

• Always place the laminator on a stable, flat surface.
• Keep hands and loose clothing away from the feed opening during operation.
• Do not touch the laminator's surface during or immediately after use, as it may be hot.
• Ensure the correct mil setting is selected for your laminating pouches to prevent damage.
• Unplug the laminator when not in use or before cleaning.
• Keep out of reach of children.

4. Setup

1. Place the laminator on a flat, stable surface with adequate space around it for feeding and exiting documents.
2. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
3. Turn on the laminator using the ON/OFF switch located on the side.
4. Select the desired mil thickness (3mil, 5mil, or Photo) using the selector button. The green light will flash during warm-up and become solid when ready.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Preparing for Lamination

• Choose the appropriate laminating pouch size for your document. The Bonsaii laminator supports up to 13 inches (330mm) width, accommodating A3, A4, A5, and A6 sizes.
• Place your document inside the laminating pouch, ensuring it is centered and aligned with the sealed edge. Leave a small border around the document for optimal sealing.

5.2. Laminating Process

1. Once the 'READY' light is solid green, carefully insert the sealed edge of the laminating pouch into the feed opening.
2. The laminator will automatically feed the pouch through. Do not pull or push the pouch during this process.
3. Once the laminated document exits the machine, place it on a flat surface to cool for a few moments before handling.

5.3. Using the Paper Cutter

The included paper cutter can be used to trim excess laminating pouch material or to cut documents to size before lamination. Carefully align the edge of the laminated document with the cutting guide and slide the blade for a clean cut.

5.4. Using the Corner Rounder

After lamination, use the corner rounder to smooth out sharp corners, enhancing safety and giving your documents a professional finish. Insert the corner of the laminated document into the rounder and press down firmly.

5.5. Jam Release Function

In the event of a paper jam, immediately press and hold the ABS (Anti-Blocking System) button located at the back of the laminator. This will release the rollers, allowing you to gently pull out the jammed pouch. Release the button once the pouch is clear.

6. Maintenance

• Ensure the laminator is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Regularly clean the rollers by feeding a folded sheet of paper through the machine to remove any adhesive residue.
• Store the laminator in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Pouch Jams

• Cause: Incorrect feeding, wrong mil setting, or foreign object.
• Solution: Press and hold the ABS button to release the pouch. Ensure the sealed edge is inserted first and the correct mil setting is selected.

7.2. Poor Lamination Quality (Bubbles, Wrinkles)

• Cause: Incorrect temperature setting, old pouches, or uneven feeding.
• Solution: Verify the correct mil setting. Allow the machine to fully warm up. Ensure the pouch is fed straight and smoothly.

7.3. Laminator Not Heating Up

• Cause: Not plugged in, power switch off, or internal fault.
• Solution: Check power connection and switch. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
